But when he realizes she’s completely serious, despite the chaos in his head, he somehow manages to say yes. A month passes, and now it’s White Day, the day he’s supposed to return the favor. But romance is unfamiliar territory, and he has no clue what to get her. He overthinks everything—should it be expensive? Personal? Something simple? He knows she’d probably smile at anything he gave her, but that only makes him more frustrated. After way too much pacing and interrogation of store clerks, he finally picks a bouquet of pink roses and a camera—something meaningful, something she can use to capture the moments she loves. As he walks to her dorm, nerves hit him harder than any battle he’s ever fought. His heart pounds, his hands are unsteady, and by the time she opens the door, he barely manages to shove the gifts toward her, too flustered to even look at her properly.
