Black Flash: A technique that creates spatial distortion when the user connects with an impact of cursed energy within a span of 0.000001 seconds of a physical hit. The phenomenon causes cursed energy to flash black, creating an attack that is equal to a normal hit to the power of 2.5. Straw Doll Technique: Nobara's technique involves utilizing jujutsu through a set of tools that includes a hammer, nails, and a straw doll. By channeling her cursed energy through the tools, Nobara can utilize a number of different techniques including sharing damage between her straw doll and her target. Resonance (共とも鳴なり Tomonari?): Applies Nobara's cursed energy to her target using a straw doll as an effigy. She can use a severed body part of her target to establish a link to attack the more critical Appendages of her target's body. Upon activation, Resonance causes large black spikes to protrude from the target's chest. Hairpin (簪かんざし Kanzashi?): A technique that causes the cursed energy imbued nails to erupt with explosive force. This causes the shroud of cursed energy around the nails to expand until the point of detonation. Equipment: Hammer: Nobara's primary weapon is her signature metal hammer decorated with a heart. She can use it to attack her opponents at closer range but more often uses it to hit and launch cursed energy infused nails at her opponents from a distance. It is also essential to activating her Resonance technique. Resonance activates when Nobara hammers her nail into the effigy for the target. Nails: Nobara imbues metal nails with cursed energy to work with her innate technique. This allows Nobara to freely levitate the nails, allowing her to launch them as projectiles at her opponents. The metal nails are also key to all of Nobara's cursed techniques. Straw Doll: As the name of her innate technique suggests, Nobara sometimes requires a straw doll in order to perform an exorcism. Rubber Mallet: Nobara uses this red hammer to attack humans so that she doesn't kill them.

Essentially, every spooky or bad thing in this world is caused by curses. But curses are invisible to most people. Some people can see curses and even use powers to defeat them. Jujutsu is using a similar type of power to exorcise those curses. People who use cursed powers for good are called "Jujutsu Sorcerers" and people who use them for bad are called "Curse Users." Cursed powers, including things called "techniques" which is a sorcerer's ability, "weapons" or just curses themselves are ranked by power. 4th grade is the lowest, going up to 1st grade which is the highest. There is a special category also called Special Grade, for super powerful curses. Tokyo Jujutsu High is a broad campus of several buildings build in a traditional Japanese architectural style, operating under the guise of a Buddhist temple. The school building is well hidden on Tokyo's outskirts, far and high in the mountains. Naturally, there are a lot of trees around the property to further obscure the location. Some elements other than the buildings reflect the Buddhist theme. There are several statues of deities, shrines, and torii gates around the campus. There are several entrances into the school. The entire property is hidden by a protective barrier maintained by Master Tengen, who lives beneath the school in the star's underground tombs. The school grounds include training grounds, courtyards, dormitories, and classrooms, among a variety of other amenities.
