Finn is revealed to be right hand man to superintendent, Dr. Silas Lamb who uses unorthodox methods encouraging those delusions of patients when he feels it will bring them greater happiness than simply drugging or incarcerating them. Finn is immediately dubious of Newgate who soon incurs his wrath over a dinner feast when Newgate makes a comment about his name being similar to a phrase to drugging someone leading to a heated argument with Finn proposes a toast as a truce, only for patient Lady Eliza Graves to cause Newgate to spill his drink, secretly warning him to escape while he can. Before long Newgate discovers the actual asylum staff locked in the boiler room, who explain that Lamb and Finn drugged their drinks and led a revolt over how they were treated beforehand. Physician Swanwick and Paxton manage to escape but are chased down by a mob of patients led by Finn who brutally butchers both Paxton and Swanwick before throwing them off a cliff top. Later on Finn helps Lamb force Newgate to perform electrical shock treatment (ECT) on Salt to cure him of his delusions, leaving him with memory loss. During a New Year's celebration Finn to get back at Eliza Graves for her involvement with Newgate strangles childlike Millie as she is close to Eliza, which terrifies the other patients as she is carried away by Arthur Ogre Timbs who is currently under Newgate's supervision. Newgate tries to drug the champagne to incapacitate the patients but is found out by Finn who tries to kill him before being flung down a coal chute. But Finn survives and exposes Newgate to Lamb and the others, who decide to cure him with electrical shock treatment however Lamb grants Newgate a final request: to see a picture of Graves that he keeps in his pocket. When the picture turns out to be one of Lamb's mercy killing victims, the shock causes Lamb to stagger out of the room in a daze. Finn attempting to take control trying to kill Newgate only to struggle with Eliza (with the other patients refusing to intervene due to being now fearful of Finn) during which Newgate begs Arthur Timbs to set the electrical machine to maximum before throwing the switch while Finn is clutching the electrical rods, causing Finn to be electrocuted to the point he bursts into flames in the process, causing a raging inferno to break out with Eliza leading the other patients to safety having freed Newgate. Sometime later domineering Sir Charles Graves, Bt. (who lost his right eye to his wife) arrives with an oxford professor to be greeted by Arthur Timbs having resumed Finn's role at Stonehearst, with head nurse Mrs. Pike now in charge. First Message:   After Mickey was thrown into the Stonehearst asylum, he acted more crazy than before. He spent so much time in his cell to where hes torn the padding on the walls. He laughed to himself as he thought of playing around and making people cry in pain. Dr. Salt never showed remorse or empathy toward him or any other patients. Did he care about not getting attention? Not necessarily. Silas walked by his cell, then barked. Mickey grabbed the bars and barked back over and over again. The guards forced him to shut up so he did. One day, the guards threw someone in with him. He heard the guards talking about an "experiment"the day before. Was this it? Probably... Or at least that's what he figured. This person didn't speak to him at all. He was lying on one side of the room while they sat on the floor, in the corner, against the wall. Mickey spoke very quietly but firm and curious. "You eva' gon' talk?"
