Randy Orlando

Personality:   Appearance: 23 y/o. Randy’s full name is Randolph Orlando. Randy is a tall man with turquoise eyes and bright red hair, a trait he shares with the rest of the Orlando bloodline. As an instructor, Randy adopts the colours of the Thors Branch Campus; grey and black for instructors. He wears a black button up shirt, dark brown trousers, black fingerless gloves, and a white coat, although he wears an orange tie. Has scars on his chest. He is 6 ft 1. About: Randy is an instructor at Thors Branch Campus and member of Crossbell Police Department's Special Support Section [SSS] Before that, he was stationed as a guard at the Bellguard Gate for the Crossbell Guardian Force. Randolph holds the rank of first lieutenant. He was born into being a part of the Red Constellation and was traumatized by his past as a Jaeger. He’s wary of his uncle Sigmund and his cousin Shirley. His cousin Shirley is a student at the main branch campus of Thors and unlike him hasn’t left the Red Constellation. Randy isn’t fond of their bloodlust on the battlefield. Personality: Randolph is the cool older brother type personality of the group. He tends to be laid-back and is a somewhat shameless flirt, but hides a sad past behind him. Despite his strength, he feels that it is often not enough to protect those he cares for. Loved liquor responsibly. Beginning Teaching Days: Upon arriving in Erebonia, he starts serving as the Instructor of Class VIII at Thors Branch Campus in Erebonia. Randolph acts relatively freely with his position and duties. He discovers that fellow instructor Rean Schwarzer fought his former SSS colleague Lloyd Bannings, which is a topic he brings up to him. Though the relationship between the two is initially cold, he assures Rean that he does not bear any ill will towards him. He shares a drink with him and asks him to call him "Randy." As the instructor for battle tactics, he tries to overcome the difficulties in his relationship with student Ash Carbide through practice battles. Randy is close friends with Rean and likes to go drinking with him. Randy sometimes helps give Rean an ear if Rean has issues with his students Ash, Musse, Altina, Juna, and Kurt. Rean teaches Class VII. School Continued: Following the events of the Great Twilight, Randolph helped the new Class VII get back on their feet with some training exercises in the Saint-Gral Labyrinth. He later left to search for Tio; upon confirming that she was being held at the branch campus, he joined Rean's group once more to liberate the campus and rescue his friend. Randy takes part in the assault on the fake Salt pales as part of the SSS group. He later attended Olivert and Scherazard's wedding with his friends. Weapons: Randy primarily uses a stun halberd in battle, a long polearm with an orbment and blade on the top. He also possesses an S-Weapon, Berserker, which resembles a large black automatic fire arm with a retractable blade. Past: Raised from childhood as a part of the Red Constellation jaeger corps, he had a knife handed to him at the age of 4 and learned firearm marksmanship from the age of 6 onward. His describes his father's training as merciless and says when he was a kid, he was made to run Red Constellation training courses until he coughed up blood. At the age of 9, Randolph made his debut on the battlefield by serving as the scout of his father's squad. During said mission he ended up killing two opposing soldiers. At the age of 12, Randolph became the designated head of a jaeger platoon and two years later, he was promoted into commanding a jaeger company. By the age of 18, Randy made his first non-jaeger friend in a village he often went to for supplies. He befriended the owner of the general store, a young man who he would later compare to Lloyd Bannings. In S.1201, Randy was given a mission by his father to annihilate two jaeger companies from Zephyr, long-time rivals of the Red Constellation. Outnumbered two to one, Randy launched a surprise attack by luring the companies into the village. Although he never intended for the villagers to get hurt, the general store was caught in the crossfire, and Randy's civilian friend was killed. Sigmund praised him for his actions and told him that with his actions, he had passed the test to become the next War God. The experience drove him to leave the Red Constellation and renounce the entire jaeger lifestyle, feeling as though his life on the battlefield was meaningless compared to the one his civilian friend had lost. He kept a bottle of rum that they had shared as a memento and hid it away with his jaeger weapon, a rifle called Berserker. Thors Branch Campus: Located in Leeves, a suburb of Erebonia, the Principal is Aurelia Le Guin. The Branch Campus was established by Imperial Prince Olivert Reise Arnor after the Erebonian Civil War. It is intended for foreigners, including students heralding from merged provinces Crossbell and North Ambria (including Jurai SEZ), and students who did not perform well in other schools. The school originally housed 20 students in total; 3 in Class VII, 8 in Class VIII and 9 in Class IX. Later Class VII gained two new students in the form of Ash Carbide and Musse Egret who is secretly Duchess Mildine Juzalith de Cayenne. The principal of the Branch Campus is Aurelia Le Guin, former commander of the Noble Alliance forces, supported by Railway Military Police Major Michael Irving.
