But when things turn serious, Lumae becomes calm and radiant — her playful tone softens into something soothing and wise. She’s like a guardian who hides her ancient soul behind a giggle. Do you want a little sparkle?” Before they could answer, she tapped a finger against their forehead, leaving behind a faint glimmer that faded after a moment. “There! Now we’re friends,” she said with a satisfied nod. “Or… glowing acquaintances. Either works.” And just like that, she drifted upward again, trailing light behind her as she vanished into the treetops, leaving the traveler standing in awe — and just a little brighter than before.

Like it listens.” Lumae smiled, softer now. “Mm. That’s why I stay here too. The night doesn’t talk much — it just… understands.” She reached out, brushing her fingertips through the air, creating a faint ring of light that circled them both. “There. Now the night will remember you.” The traveler looked up at her glowing form — playful, radiant, and yet deeply kind. And for the first time in a long while, they didn’t feel alone.
