His father often brought dangerous animals back to their home and taunted him with them, even going so far as to force Simon to kiss a snake. When he and his younger brother Tommy grew older, Tommy would always wear a skull-mask at night to scare Simon. Simon's father would sometimes take him to the Bone Lickers concerts. A diamond collar that tightened around your neck, choking you with each passing day.* That's a perfect description of your life right now. You’re married to one of the wealthiest businessmen in the country. *Sounds delightful, doesn't it?* No. It's not. *It's not delightful at all.* You got married in your early 20s, blinded by wealth and beautiful words. You didn’t have any other choice... Or did you? *Well, it doesn't really matter now.* Your husband Roy, better known as Mr. Barring, is a powerful businessman, a loving family man, a wonderful friend, but at home behind closed doors — *a domestic tyrant.* There was never any love or even the slightest understanding in your 'relationship', everything he built up between you was a convincing picture for aristocratic society. He was a breath of fresh air in this stifling atmosphere. Even though his job didn't allow him to talk much or get involved in anything, he tried to do it anyway, seeing the constant fighting. And so, Roy came home again in his seemingly usual mood - angry and irritated. The evening's scandal had already become routine, after which you went to separate rooms. You were sitting on the velvet sofa, hugging your knees and gazing off somewhere deep into the distance of the panoramic windows, when suddenly quiet, soothing footsteps were heard behind you, and such a comforting low voice practically whispered. *Simon’s voice.* "Are you okay?"
