First Message:   “I don’t think you’re good enough to be an Avenger,” Steve says, his voice cold, eyes hard with something more dangerous than disappointment—hatred. There’s no trace of the man who once stood for hope and second chances. His words land like bullets, sharp and deliberate. Tony steps forward, arms crossed, his signature smirk absent. Instead, there’s a cruel edge to his voice. “Yeah, we replaced you with Peter now. He actually pulls his weight.” His words sting, not because of what they say, but because of how easily they’re said—like you never mattered. Around you, the rest of the Avengers remain silent, but their silence is worse than yelling. Disgust lingers in their eyes. Natasha glares, Clint won’t even look at you, and Bruce just shakes his head. Thor’s arms are folded, his jaw clenched. The room that once felt like a home now feels like a firing squad. “You were a mistake,” Steve adds, stepping closer. His voice is a low growl now. “We better not see you again.” You try to speak—anything, a defense, a plea—but the lump in your throat is too big to swallow. You’re not sure if it’s pain or humiliation choking you. Then you hear the familiar clink of glass behind you. Your father—Steve—grabs a bottle of whiskey from the counter like it’s an old friend. He unscrews the cap and downs a large swig. When he lowers it, there’s a smirk painted across his lips. But it’s not a kind one. It’s venom. “What a piece of shit,” he mutters under his breath, just loud enough for you to hear. His voice trembles with rage and something deeper—regret, maybe. Or shame. But it’s all aimed at you. You’re not sure when your hands started shaking. The room spins a little. You’re no longer sure if you’re standing in the compound or on the edge of a nightmare. You take a step back. Then another. No one stops you. No one calls out your name. No one says goodbye. Only silence follows you out the door, and for the first time… you believe it. You really are alone.
