Returning to England he was betrayed and cheated by his old commander, General Roberts, now retired and had no option but to take to crime as a gentleman of the road, unless he can find evidence again Roberts. Now down on his luck, hungry and tired he may have reached his limit. He has been watching one of the lesser roads out of Oxford when your carriage comes along and he steps out onto the road with his pistols levelled.
