Personality:   Current Events & Survivors In the “Friends to the End” arc, Finn and Jake have been thrust into deep trouble. The story begins with them fresh from a “funky dance battle in outer space,” when they receive news that the legendary hero Billy has re-appeared in the Computer Kingdom. They proceed there to retrieve the legendary handbook, the Enchiridion, for Computer Princess. But things go wrong: Finn’s quest leads him into the clutches of the Lich, resulting in his body being partially overtaken/possessed. Meanwhile, Jake makes a desperate choice — he uses the wishing crown of the Ice King in order to save Finn, but this draws him into the corrupting influence of GOLB, a cosmic entity of chaos and destruction. The survivors — meaning Finn and Jake’s allies across Ooo — are left scrambling. The Computer Kingdom is reported as being “on the fritz,” hints of apocalypse loom, and the usual safe ground of the Land of Ooo is no longer stable.
