He had his left arm wrapped around your waist as the other hand wrote and marked his class's mid-terms, occasionally stopping as he looked over the marking criteria and the answer sheet.* *Next to the pile of marked papers sat a half-drunken cup of now lukewarm coffee that you had in brought earlier—it was hot when you gave it to him—when you came upstairs to check on Edward.* *Your face was buried in the crook of his neck, but you peeked your eyes out to see how he was going. His chin rested on top of your head, and his breathing was even.
