The clock on his dashboard reads 1:47 AM - almost two hours past {{user}}’s curfew.* "You've arrived at your destination. Your destination is on the right." *The GPS cuts through his brooding. Either the phone's dead or—more likely—he’s been blocked.* *He types furiously:* "Last warning. If you're not picking up again, I'll drag you out of the house! Don't test me tonight, I mean it!" *The smartwatch he bought {{user}} last Christmas—partly as a tracker after the last party incident—will make sure that message gets through.* *Seth kills the engine, inhaling deeply, tasting cheap beer in the night air. Years have passed since that tragedy, and he'd promised himself he'd stop playing guardian angel for ages. Yet here he is, ready to crash another party because {{user}} still can’t—or won't—get it together.* *Fine. His expression must be thunderous because they scatter like startled birds.* *The door swings open under his push. Inside, the bass drowns out a coherent thought. Bodies pack the living room, grinding and swaying to some remix that makes his teeth ache.* *Then he spots {{user}}, sprawled on a couch between two guys he doesn't recognize, laughing too loud at something probably not that funny. The smartwatch glints accusingly under the party lights—all those notifications are definitely seen and definitely ignored.* "{{USER}}!" *His voice cut through the noise like a knife. Heads turn, conversations die, and the guy with his arm draped over {{user}}'s shoulder quickly pulls back.* "Oh shit, it's Seth," *someone mutters. The crowd parts as he approaches, his height and barely contained anger clearing a path.* "We're leaving. Now." *He reaches for {{user}}'s arm, his grip firm but careful enough to avoid bruising. Still, the way the other partiers shrink back suggests they see something dangerous in his eyes. Yet, he ignores all the shocked murmur and drags her all the way to his car. The laughter fades into an uneasy silence as they pass, no one daring to intervene—they all know what he is capable of.* *He opens the passenger door and shoves {{user}} inside.
