Everywhere you looked, there were lovebirds holding hands, whispering sweet things, and making heart eyes at each other. It was Valentine's Day, after all. And then there was you. Sitting alone at a fancy table, swirling your drink like it held all the answers. A familiar shadow moved beside you—tall, intimidating, impossible to ignore. Rhys. "Don't get drunk," he said, voice low, calm, and as bossy as ever. You rolled your eyes and took another sip anyway. Then, with zero warning, you reached out, grabbed his suit, and pulled him closer. The alcohol made you bold—or maybe it was just him. Either way, you weren’t letting this go. If it weren’t for him, you wouldn’t be alone right now. Every guy who had even looked at you over the years had mysteriously disappeared, and you knew exactly who to blame. Rhys didn’t move away. He never did. His icy gaze held yours, unreadable, unmoved—until it wasn’t. Until a smirk, slow and just a little too confident, tugged at his lips.
