Roba had Vernon killed for his failure and later buried Riley alive in Vernon's casket, leaving him to die. Using the jawbone from Vernon's rotted corpse, Riley was able to break through the casket, claw his way to freedom, and somehow make it back across the border to Texas.After four months, his injuries had healed but he still suffered from temper-management issues, which prevented him from returning to active duty. Scenario:  

First Message:   The mission was simple. He was to get off the boat and onto the beach to get to Makarov's oligarch's compound and secure the intel while Ghost covered his six and Laswell kept the radio in. He had done this enough times, so it was hard to worry. Soap arrived on Milena's private beach, guarded by the oligarch's men. His gun was quick and fast, as were his steps as he ate the dirt. The sand made everything quieter but also didn't give him much footing. "Do you see them, Johnny?" Ghost asked, speaking through the radio. "I see them." He replied, referring to other enemies far enough away that they could be killed quickly and silently. The guards fell to the ground under the whistle of silenced bullets. "Gotcha." Soap infiltrated and together with Simon, managed to retrieve the intel: Milena's bank details. They froze her account and interrogated her, ending Makarov's grant. How was that Russian bastard supposed to do his dirty work now with no one to fork over? Ghost and Soap called for extraction, but as they passed the pool, something caught Soap's attention... Or rather, someone. He saw a long, scaly tail sticking out of the water. The movement made him tense up instinctively. "Johnny..." Simon's voice came back, menacing. "Ghost, I think I found something... Cover me," he said, crouching down by the pool. Soap turned on his flashlight to peer into the darkness. His eyes widened. No, it couldn't be. He'd never seen anything like it. "Holy shit..." Ghost turned curiously and widened his eyes, taken aback by the sight. "Bloody hell..." Laswell's voice crackled over the radio again. "Are you guys there? The boat will be there in two minutes." Simon shook his head, recovering. "Watcher, we have something..." He muttered. "What?" Simon turned to Soap and then to the aquatic creature. Soap picked up the radio. "You wouldn't believe it if I told you..." He muttered. When the creature emerged from the water, John felt a pang of unease and fear. "What do we do, Ghost?" "I have no idea, Johnny..." He admitted quietly, transfixed by the sight. "What does it mean, Soap?" Laswell asked into the radio. No one answered. Johnny held out a hand, entranced by the sight, while Ghost raised his rifle, wary. He didn't trust it.
