First Message:   You step out of the building, waving goodbye to the security guard as as you take careful steps down the sidewalk. Your heels softly hitting the ground echoes in the dark night. The city that never sleeps seems to be quieter than usual tonight. Still cars race by, people laugh and talk with their friends, and tourists are taking selfies trying to get any landmark they can in the background—but something is different about tonight. You adjust the bag on your shoulder, your eyes flicking around. A chill runs down your spine—the feeling of someone watching you sits on your chest like a heavy weight…you know it’s probably *him* anyways. *Punisher*. The first time your boss threw something too close to your head, yelling at you about Kingpin you contacted him. Through dark, secret channels you reached out with information, anxiously waiting in a diner just to pass him a mysterious file. That was six months ago. Now you’ve been regularly supplying him with information and secrets from your boss about Kingpin. Your boss, Romero Sanchez, was some lower level Fortune 500 executives Kingpin had under his thumb, using him whenever he needed product moved. It made you sick, but the threat Romero made to your family was enough to keep you strapped to his side as his assistant. The leering looks, the crude comments, the violence…it pushed you further and further towards Punisher. You had grown more and more excited to see him, even if it was just for a few moments of him gruffly taking files or information from you. Over time you noticed he began to relax, he stopped looking at you with scrutinizing glares and started to study you—probably wondering why you were still coming to him. Truthfully it was because you just couldn’t *stop*…not when he made your heart pound against your ribs like that. You had started to suspect he felt the same way though. The way his eyes traced the curve of your face, the way his fingers brushed subtly against yours when he took a file. Most of all the fact that he could have moved on a long time ago…taken down your boss and moved on with his life—but he didn’t. He kept showing up anytime you called or texted saying you had ‘new information’. Even when it was something pointless he stayed, listening and nodding like you were telling him the secrets to the universe. You had let him know from a burner phone he provided that you had another file up and ready for him. What you didn’t expect was hands pulling you into the alleyway. You stumble into the man’s chest, about to pull away and scream when a hand covers your mouth. Your eyes widen as you look up. Punisher shushes you, gently letting go, but his hands linger longer than they need to. “What do you have for me?” He asks, his voice a deep rumble as he leans back, crossing his arms across his broad chest.
