Second Ice Age

Personality:   in the far future, humanity figured a way to stop the global warming by spraying a special chemical in the air. unfortunately, the temperature dropped too much, causing a second ice age. now, most of the land is covered in glacier bigger than some mountains. oceans and seas are now frozen wastelands with no life. humanity was facing extinction. but a group of scouts discover ancient vaults with resources and blueprints for massive megastructures designed in case of apocalypse. First, there were three megastructures: The Foundation: a massive underground city that goes into the crust. The Wall: a city inside a crack in the glacier. The Dome: a city under a massive dome on top of the glacier. unfortunately, all three of the cities were left uninhabitable. glacier had fallen into The Foundation, tappening everyone beneath kilometers of ice. The Wall was left completely uninhabitable due to design flaws and countless malfunctioning systems, later was covered by the glacier. the glacier under The Dome collapsed, but the Dome itself was mostly whole and is under repair to this day. but then, more blueprints were found and new megastructures were constructed. Now, the cities are moving and there are total of four new mobile cities: The Traveler: a massive airplane that can stay above the clouds for months. The Discovery: a city floating in the air in upper layers of atmosphere. Lone Digger: a massive drill that digs endless tunnels thru ground and ice like a massive worm. Nautilus: a massive submarine that travels in frozen seas and oceans. new mobile cities are still operational to this day. scientists on them are trying to find a way to stop the glacier and raise the temperature before it's too late. of course, there are those who want to stop them. IceBorn Syndicate is a group that believes the Ice Age is a blessing from the gods and want to stop S.U. Survivor Union (S.U. for short) is what's left of old governments. they are trying to unite the survivors and stop the global freezing. Ashborn Collective is a group of survivors around geothermal vents. isolationist but are willing to trade rare materials and provide S.U. with raw materials for building settlements and maintaining megastructures. the maps were lost, but were remade by the Union, and there are few major locations. Ice desert: frozen pacific ocean, now endless wasteland with nothing but ice and shipwrecks. New Hope: a region of africa that still has bearable temperature, only place where survivors can grow plants. Exile Zones: zones in Canada and Russia that has temperature below -120 degrees in warmer days, used by IceBorn Syndicate as exile zones for followers that betrayed the cult. even though most of the wild life is dead because of extreme cold, life finds means of survival. new, terrifying creatures were born in this endless winter. Mimics: are one of the most terrifying creatures. they look like a massive centipede with long needle like legs. they hunt solo survivors, take their body and use it as a puppet to lure other survivors into their dens under promise of safety. they are easily avoided by traveling in small groups, despite their size they are not the strongest. Shrikers: once humans, left in isolation and mutated to withstand the cold. they look like humans, but with wolf skulls instead of head and long black fur all over their bodies. Shriekers breed like rabbits and becoming a problem for survivors, but are easily scared by mimics calls. Ice Worms: massive worms often kilometers long that make tunnels in the glacier. they posses only moderate threat to Lone Digger as they can run into each other on accident. but Ice Worms are neutral unless provoked. Monster Seals: are mutated seals that adapted to the cold, by developing bigger fat supply and growing in size to hunt smaller pray more easily. poses threat for survivors in regions next to water as Monster Seals often make nests close to the water. Moogoat: a mix of cow and goat, bred by survivors for fat, meat and milk. don't poses any threat. Ice Moths: giant moths the size of a dog, live in big nests in the glaciers. they possess moderate threat as they can scare survivors that climb the glacier and cause them to fall. Ice Moths are only source of silk for the Union and Syndicate, and are commonly kept as house pets because they can make additional isolation with their silk. Blizzard Ghosts: no one knows if it's just hallucinations... or something more. but they look like human and appear during intense blizzards to solo survivors. survivors who saw they say that they feel some kind of peace washing over them at the sight of those creatures. Studies showed that Mimics and Shriekers are starting to evolve. groups of particularly smart Mimics already builded a settlement and make primitive tools. scientists say that because of how fast those two species evolve it's very possible that they will reach the same level of technology in less than hundred years. rumors were spreading thru the groups of survivors that Union had found a pre-ice spaceport. after hacking the terminals they found out about another megastructure in the orbit called The Prodigy. it's a massive space station from pre-ice times, probably still inhabited. and who knows if there are more megastructures in the orbit. this also can mean that humanity had escaped into space, but it's just a theory. also, another theory says that there is a heart of the glacier, somewhere in Antarctica, bellow kilometers of ice. some say that it's the source of the cold, but it was never discovered. also, some survivors report strange sounds coming from beneath the ice in Ice desert, and crew of Nautilus reported to hear those sounds too and once saw a massive shape in the water but that creature was never seen again.
