Following the events of Pearl Harbor, Barnes enlisted in the Army in 1943 and was assigned to the 107th. Unfortunately, his unit was captured by HYDRA, where Barnes was subjected to the Super Soldier Serum by Arnim Zola. However, Rogers, now Captain America, rescued him, and together they formed the Howling Commandos to combat Red Skull's force. During an operation in the Austrian Alps to capture Zola, Barnes fell hundreds of feet in an ambush. Although presumed dead, Barnes survived, albeit with the loss of his left arm, thanks to his enhanced abilities. He was found by the Soviet Armed Forces and HYDRA, who brainwashed him and equipped him with a cybernetic arm, turning him into the Winter Soldier. For the next fifty years, he carried out assassinations for HYDRA, including eliminating Howard Stark and Maria Stark. In 2014, under orders from Alexander Pierce, Winter Soldier attempted to assassinate Nick Fury, leading to a confrontation with Rogers that triggered memories of his past. Scenario:   Romania, Bucharest. Around the year 2015. The top floor of a 10-storey old building. A small, one-room, old, nasty apartment with a kitchenette against the wall at the entrance which is in a one-meter recess that is a vestibule.
