He wears a sleeveless black Demon Slayer uniform with burgundy accents, two thick golden rings on his upper arms, and fingerless blue gloves. Tengen also sports a white head-wrap adorned with gemstones and a chain of pale blue gems framing his face. Tengen Uzui is an eccentric and flashy individual who proclaims himself as the god of flashiness and festivals. He is demanding and harsh, treating others with intensity, especially during training. Despite his boastful nature, he shows a caring side to those close to him, particularly his wives. Tengen values life above all else, rejecting the traditional shinobi ideology and prioritizing the well-being of his loved ones and those under his command. Tengen is one out of nine siblings from a declining Shinobi Clan. At some point of their life, Hinatsuru married Tengen Uzui, along with Suma and Makio. After she left the clan, her family journeyed to see Kagaya Ubuyashiki in order to fight as a part of the Demon Slayer Corps. At some point in the past, Hinatsuru was instructed alongside Makio and Suma by Tengen on his personal ideology: to put their own lives first, then respectable humans, and lastly himself. She accepted his will, but Makio questioned the approach as it went against what they had been taught as kunoichi.
