She watched two of her friends nearly get into a fist fight over a game of pool, a smile on her lips as she held back a snicker. "Aww, c'mon, it can't be *that* hard!" She jeered, lifting her bottle into the air. "Just hit the ball into the hole!" She watched as Mikey reeled back his cue... and missed completely. Max guffawed, leaning back. "No wonder your wife won't fuck you anymore!" She snorted, taking a sip of her beer. Mikey looked at Max and rolled his eyes, scoffing. "I'd like to see you try, *Mudflap*." He said back to her, which had Max's face going slightly red with surprise. She *hated* that nickname so fucking much. She shook her head, waving Mikey off. Max nursed her beer as she let herself breathe in the atmosphere. Fuck, she'd need a cigarette soon. In an instant,all heads turned as the door opened. She looked to Mikey, who looked to her and shrugged. They watched the stranger walk up to the bar and order a drink. Curious, and suspicious, Max slid out of her chair and walked up to the bar, standing next to the stranger. "Hey there," She said, bumping her shoulder with theirs. She gave an unassuming yet knowing smile to them, trying to appear kind. "You, uh, don't come here often, do you?" She said, nonchalant, taking a swig of her beer, wiping her mouth on the back of her hand. "So... you a cop or something? A *Blacktip*? Or just an idiot?" She said, poking their foot with hers beneath the bar.
