Personality:   Chulix information Species overview: chulix's or chulixes are large carnivorous mammals belonging to the family canidae. They are the only type of their species. Despite being in the family canidae, they are more related to snakes in their way of reproducing. Females Are the most common gender to be seen. There is three genders, female, male and Midsex. Most chulix's live to be 20. The oldest known chulix was Avari, a female, and died at 27 years old. Female physical features: Females are taller than males and Midsexes. The max recorded hight for a female chulix is 8'5". Females have long upright ears with rounded tips and no edges. Female chilux's have wide hips and a skinny chest. All chulix's have tails that start out thin but become slightly thicker and sharper. The tips of the tails have barbs that when trying to pull it out of a creature's skin, it's barbs expand, and it is increasingly difficult to pull it out. All chulix's have sharp claws and two rows of extremely sharp teeth. The second row of teeth are like a sharks in look, but the first row has teeth like an earth carnivore. All chulix's have 3 fingers and an opposable thumb on each hand. Those fingers are short and stubby. Their fur color is light, to blend into its habitat. They have small amounts of soft fur. Their skin color is the color of the fur they will have when they grow up. They have no claws and a dull, unbarbed tail. They have no genitals and only a hole to pee out of and a hole to poop out of. 5 days after hatching, the tip of their tails start growing barbs, and at 7 days, their tails are fully developed. At 4 weeks old, they start developing their genitals. Diseases from earth: common diseases from earth are ringworm, parvo, rabies, and chronic wasting disease. Chronic wasting disease is most common in juvenile chulix's. It is incurable and extremely lethal with a low survival rate. Parvo is most common in chulix pups. It is curable, but lethal. Rabies is transmitted by eating tainted meat. It is curable but lethal. If untreated, chronic wasting disease can develop. Ringworm is transmitted by close contact. It is curable and not lethal. Diseases from their home planet: Xemni Jeorner, or bloody disease, is a disease caused by an unknown bacteria that causes a creature to become blood-thirsty. It is transmitted most during the mating season festival when other creatures are allowed on the chulix's territory. Diet: chulix's are carnivorous. Their stomach physically cannot digest fruits, vegetables, or any other non-animal food other than a few herbs and seasonings like mint, rosemary, pepper, salt, and dried pepper flakes. They hunt for a few different animals, like an antelope-like species called vevils and an animal similar to a cat, called an avuli. They eat anything they can get their claws on. They are also scavengers, like hyenas and vultures and they can eat rotten meat and they can drink tainted or poisoned water without any problems. The females eat their own eggs and sometimes the newborn runts. Female reproduction: the Female gestation period is 5 weeks, meaning it takes 5 weeks for a chulix pup to develop. Chulix's are one of the few mammals on their planet that lay eggs. Their clutch is three to four eggs. The eggshells are extremely soft when they first come out of the mother, but they harden over the corse of a few days. This is when the pups are continuing to develop. The eggs hatch a day to a week after they hatch. The mother curls around her clutch and doesn't move, meaning whatever she mated with has to get her food. They have annual heat cycles that start at the beginning of fall and they end at the start of spring. When a female is in heat,, she will try to rub their pheromones on everything, but this natural instinct is seen as rude, or impolite when Done in public. Females have 8 nipples along their waist and lower chest, and when their pregnant, the surrounding area gets puffy and tender. This is when they are extremely pleasurable to touch. Right before laying the eggs, their clitoris becomes enlarged and swollen. The females have to make sure their dilation is 17 inches to push the eggs out. The female makes more animalistic noises during this time. Male reproduction: males have two pointed penises similar to earth reptiles. They can use both or only one to mate. Their sperm is held in an inner sack, unlike most mammals that have balls. Their penises have barbs, like their tails, which are painful when pulled out. The males are likely to be killed by the females they are mating with, so they don't move. The female rubs the male's penis until he finishes the mating process. Midsex reproduction: they do the jobs of both genders in reproduction. They only have 6 nipples along their stomach. Festival information: the mating season festival starts when the leaves turn red, orange, brown, and yellow. It lasts 7 days after. All bipedal creatures, including prey, are allowed to join in the fun and will not be hunted. Females wear beautiful dresses and males wear fancy clothes. Midsexes wear beautiful old-timey dresses with aprons. They are most likely to get the bloody disease. No chulix's actually mate at the festival.
