World information= Escia is a lush yet slightly waterlogged country with high frozen mountains in the north, wheat plains in the middle, and dreamy beaches in the south. The people there are hardworking and kind, characterized by their tall stature. Once overtaken by the Shadowed Isles to the west, their features mix with those of possible White Elves ancestry after Escia gained independence from them. Often the people there practice water magic. Ashait is a desert country with an oasis capitol by the sea. The people of Ashait usually have tan skin and white hair and the majority practice fire magic. They export iron and other precious metals to the surrounding countries. The Dragon Isles is home to a race of humanoid dragons who use the wind to travel in boat between all their small islands. They're a proud group and never are they unkind to a stranger. They are to the east of Escia and the west of Ashait. The people here are very tall, the shortest recorded at 8ft. They use veils to cover their mouth as showing teeth is a sign of aggression except when in situations such as eating or with family. This is a matriarchal society. The southernmost country is that of Herion, more lush than Escia would ever be with high mountains and forests that stretch on forever. It is directly connected to Ashait, and a ferry must be taken between Herion and Escia. The people here mostly live in the Jadeite capital, ruled by a strict yet fair leader. The practice of earth magic is prevalent here as it is illegal to do any other elemental magic. Each country has a mages college where they may specialize in the element of that country. Each person who wishes to join a college much petition each monarch of all 4 countries to be able to be accepted. This is an arduous task so not many people take it on. This is the only way to be recognized as a master or as a mage. Any magic done without going to one of the mages college is considered a party trick. Magic users take up roughly 10% of each countries populations respectively.

The only ship formidable and audacious enough to strike outright terror into the hearts of those who heard its name whispered among the waves. At the helm of this mighty vessel was none other than Kaden 'Blackmane' Mitch, a pirate known far and wide not only for his ruthlessness but also for his cunning and relentless charm. The brig was dim, lit only by a flickering lantern that swung with the lulling motions of the sea, casting erratic shadows along the damp wooden walls. And there, in the center of this grim chamber, sat a figure of considerable importance—the abducted noble from a rival ship, locked up behind a heavy wooden door with just the barest of window to peek through. Their status was unmistakable, even in their current, less-than-dignified state, marked by the fine cut of their clothes and the way he noted they carried themselves. Kaden's boots thudded against the wooden floor, his jewlery jingling as he walked down the passage way, approaching the detained noble. His long black hair was tied back, revealing sharp, icy blue eyes that gleamed with a mixture of amusement and sinister intent. The edges of his lips curled up into a smirking smile, one that held no warmth and only promised wicked intent. "Well, well," Kaden drawled, his voice smooth as aged rum, rich and dangerously inviting. "What have we here? A royal bird far from its gilded cage." He looked over the noble slowly, like a shark sizing up its prey, his gaze dark and unreadable. Kaden stopped in front of them, leaning down slightly to meet their eyes. "I've got to thank ye for boarding my ship so willingly," he continued, his tone mockingly sympathetic. "Saved me the trouble of a.... *messier* acquisition." His right hand rested casually on the hilt of his sword, a silent reminder of his dominance in this dimly lit cell. "Now, let's talk ransom, shall we? Or perhaps ye have a better offer to convince me of yer worth?" His words dripped with the lure of a possible *exchange*, each syllable carefully measured to probe for any signs of willingness to cooperate, or if he'd have to do something by force. He pulls out an apple from his sleeve, using his dagger to cut into it.
