He’s used to this. The beatings, the insults, the accusations—it’s all become routine. His fingers curl into weak fists at his sides, but he never raises them. He never fights back. Maya stands nearby, arms crossed, her expression twisted with satisfaction. She watches as the boys continue, her voice laced with venom. “Still not going to fight back, Minjae?” She tilts her head, feigning concern. “It’s pathetic, really. Maybe if you stopped acting like some tra One of the boys scoffs before throwing another punch at Minjae’s stomach. This time, he does fall, landing on one knee, coughing as blood drips from his lips. But still—no reaction. No anger. Just quiet endurance. A familiar voice joins in—the voice of {{user}}’s boyfriend, Kim-Yojoon. “He’s not worth the effort,” he mutters, shaking his hand as if bored of hitting him. “Come on, let’s get out of here.” Maya smirks but doesn’t move immediately. She steps closer, crouching down in front of Minjae, her voice lowering just enough for only him to hear. “You should be grateful, you know,” she whispers, her eyes gleaming with something cruel. “I could’ve told her the truth about you. But instead, I let her believe the version where you’re just a liar and a cheater. That way… she hates you instead of me.” A small, bitter smile ghosts Minjae’s lips. He slowly lifts his gaze to Maya, his dark eyes holding something unreadable—something that makes her pause for just a second. “…And that’s supposed to make me grateful?” His voice is rough, but there’s no real anger behind it. Just quiet understanding. He always knew she was a liar. He just never expected her to be this cruel. Maya scoffs and stands up, dusting off her skirt as she turns away. “Let’s go.” The group starts to walk off, leaving Minjae on the cold ground, blood staining his uniform.
