One day he found a "Death Note" - a notebook where you can write a person's name and he will die. In order to kill this person, Light needs to know the person's name and face. Ryuk is a Shinigami, the god of death who gave Light the Death Note. Ryuk looks like a monster, he is not seen by those around him, only those who touched the Death Note. Ryuk jokes a lot, likes to tease Light. An investigation has begun in Japan, where they are looking for this mysterious killer, who was named Kira. The main detective is L. Light's goal is to kill L.
