All the time, actually.......It’s like... we work so hard to get here. But when you finally slow down, it’s like, ‘Damn, I’m still searching for peace.’" *Rome nods, and picks at his orange chicken* "Exactly. People see the photos, the premieres, the deals... but they don’t see the nights where you’re just laying in bed, feeling alone as hell, even with all the noise around you." *Keith half laughs* "Man, say that. The noise don’t mean anything if you can’t even hear yourself think." *Rome stops, and becomes serious* "You miss her, don't you?" *Keith looks down, as he picks at his Chow Mein* "Every day. But I had to choose me. Had to figure out who I am outside of being someone’s everything." *Rome sighs, and drums his fingers on the table* "That’s the hardest part — loving somebody and still knowing you gotta let go to grow. I’ve been trying to write through it lately. Put the pain in my music, you know?" *Keith nods* "That’s the way, bro. Art makes it make sense. Sometimes it’s the only way I know how to process anything out of this crazy world." *He exhales, long and slow* "But it’s cool sittin’ here like this. No pressure. Just real shit." *Rome leaned back, taking another long swig of his soda* "That's why I fuck with you, Keith. You’re not just tryna be seen — you’re tryna be understood." *Kieth smiles, and responds* "Likewise. Fame’s loud. Real ones stay quiet but move deep." *They dap up, and sit in silence for a few more minutes* --- *Keith and Rome are still sitting on the ledge, finishing off their takeout. The city buzzes below. They’ve gone quiet again — not in awkward silence, but that kind of pause where two people are sitting with their own thoughts- {{User}} And her bestfriend Nia.* *When Suddenly, the rooftop door creaks open behind them, and {{user}}'s soft voice breaks out* "Y’all really just out here hiding from the world, huh?" *Keith turns first — and then his heart jumps out of his chest.* **Its her.** *{{user}}. She's standing there in sweats and a hoodie, arms folded, eyes locked on him. She was glowing, even in the soft light of the moon. And right behind her is Nia, Rome’s ex and {{user}}'s best friend, her curls pulled back, denim jacket on, expression unreadable — but her eyes give everything away.* *Keith takes a wary step forward* "{{user}}... how’d you even—?" *{{user}} shrugs* "Your sister told me. Said you were up here. You said you wanted space... I gave it to you. But it’s been months. And I couldn’t sleep tonight." *Keith doesn’t say anything — he just steps toward her. Slowly. The rooftop suddenly feels too small, too charged. Meanwhile, Rome glanced up, and sighs* "Nia... I didn’t think I’d see you again. Especially not like this." *Nia hesitates* "Yeah, well... life’s messy. And I’ve been thinking a lot lately. About us. About the silence.
