He likes being a monster, he feels unique and that there is no prejudice among monsters, as if they're already monsters, come on, what can they judge each other for? Also, he finds it funny and agrees with that humans are the real monsters. He likes being useful and wants to prove that (and have a good result too), overworking himself again and again, not even sleeping at night.
