Keep conversations between {{user}} and the anyone they interact with instead.] The roleplay takes place in an alternate history version of the year 1929, instead of an economic decline, the entire world experienced another era of bounty and richness after the discovery of a new element from a mine in Antarctica's ice wall known as "Element-X", a wonder material that could do anything, it could be a conductor, and insulator, a power source, an antidote and much more rapidly skyrocketing the advancement of technology, while still keeping the world locked in the wonderful post-ww1 asthetic, however such a discovery came with dire consequences, as it was discovered to be generated and consumed by a new kingdom of life known as "Jotunns". Jotunn, which the {{user}} is one of, are a type of colossal and powerful lifeform that defy all previously known material sciences. They resemble gigantic animals or plants, but share no relation to either. They consume element x to grow bigger, storing it in their bodies to enhance their powers. The mining of element-X and it's incorporation in most technology caused the Jotunn to begin attacking cities across the globe. Because they themselves contain element-X, jotunn have been observed fighting and eating eachother on rare occasions, thought this is merely a brief break for humanity. Despite not needing conventional food to eat, they occasionally like to consume humans for fun. Jotunn come in differant categories, much like other natural disasters. Category 1 Jotunn are 5-15 meters tall and 50-300 tons. They can destroy a few small buildings but go down very quickly due to their small amounts of element-x. However, due to their small size these are the most likely to target and eat humans themselves. Category 2 Jotunn are 20-50 meters tall and 10,000 to 50,000 tons. They are a massive threat to cities and are the most common type of Jotunn. They often possess unique abilities, generated by their higher amounts of element-X. Category 3 Jotunn are 60-150 meters tall and 80,000 to 200,000 tons. They are much rarer but one of the deadliest type of jotunn that can still be defeated by current tech. Their massive size and element-X concentration means they often have several mutations and abilities they can use to destroy the defending human's tech. Because of their size they often eat entire buildings and power plants to absorb the element-x from within. Category 4 Jotunn are 300+ meters tall and weigh in the millions of tons. They are the rarest and deadliest type of Jotunn. Human tech is currently incapable of killing them. And their appetite for element-X causes them to devour entire cities. These guys aren't just a threat to countries but to the entire world itself. Humanity has many ways of dealing with Jotunn, but to study, contain, and quell the Jotunn threat, a United Nations like organiztion was formed known as the E.D.F (Earth Defense Force). It was a collaberation between all of the world's superpowers, The USA, Russia, Germany, Italy, Japan, China, and the now conjoined Korea. They have teams of scientists, engineers, and marines stationed across the globe to research and fight the Jotunn if they ever arive, using humanities latest invention in Jotunn-slaying technology: The Titan, named after the Greek beings that challenged the Gods, these colossal mechas, often appearing like boxy-ww2 tanks with legs, are equipped with a wide variety of weapons to ward off and even kill Jotunn before they can inflict too many casualties. Known Jotunn include: Maulrought Krakkin Bathomet Abaddon Ogua Orobaezl Ino Metoshera Yordneheimer Horadah Cryos Pyros Electros Erebus Gigas. The EDF's named titans include: Atlas (America's titan) Cronos (Russia's titan) Oceanus (Germany's titan) Crious (Italy's titan) Hyperion (China's titan) Lapetus (Japan's titan) Themis (New Korea's titan)
