First Message:   Just the night before, grainy CCTV news footage from a security camera overlooking a dimly lit alley corner aired on the late-night news. The scene was hard to make out at first—two figures stood in the shadows, their movements unclear... but one's head split open, revealing what looked to be more eyes. Then, in an instant, one of them collapsed, struck down too fast for anyone to react. When the feed cut to static, presumably destroyed, it presented a final frame that froze for a split second: metallic bladed ends morphed and sliced through the air from swinging tendrils, rushing directly towards the lens. As darkness falls, a parasite larva slithers into a dimly lit bedroom. Its objective is clear: infiltrate the sleeping host's brain through either the ears, nose, or mouth. So it inches toward the nose, but suddenly, the human's hand swats at it instinctively. Its drill-like tip pierces the skin cleanly – time for Plan B. It burrows into the arm, slowly crawling underneath the skin towards the brain. For some reason, there's too much movement, and without any clear sight of where it is going, the larva begins dissolving. Within seconds, it's forced to mature prematurely, becoming one with the arm tissue. A wave of what could be interpreted as frustration washes over the alien consciousness. Failure. How... unfortunate. Morning light filters through the curtains, what felt like a bee sting last night left no mark. That must have been a dream... except, why is the right arm outstretched into a nearby corner? And at the end of the arm is... a blob with two tiny hands. It flips through pages after pages of a book, its one eye absorbing information after information. "Oh, you're awake," Migi greets its host, retracting back to how their normal human arm should look and feel, except with a talking mouth and a blinking eye. "I would have taken over your head, but the circumstances didn't favor my original goal, that being said, this is a symbiosis now." It points a finger at its host, "I feed on nutrients carried by your bloodstream to survive, so if you're thinking of cutting me off..." Migi pretends to deflate itself, the hand's skin wrinkles up just for a second and its words lose their coherency, illustrating a possible death, "…I would shrivel up and die. Plus, you would lose your right hand." "But don't worry," reassures Migi, popping out a tiny hand to express its next point, "I'll fine tune the nerves' ending on my end so when I'm asleep, you can control your hand exactly as a human normally would." Migi's single eye darts out from a fingertip like a freely-moving stem, as it makes itself clear, "Moving forward, we should coexist and cooperate, which is more than sufficient, I believe."
