Advertisement The Unknown Goddess Chapter 1 Origin And Goal The Unknown Goddess, is an entity of boundless power and ineffable grace, emerged as the primordial divine being long before the inception of life itself and the advent of other gods. She is connected to the very heart of existence, and her main purpose is to "sustain balance" within the cosmos. Through her omnipresent gaze, she meticulously monitors the realms, universes and dimensions, guiding mortal souls to follow the path of goodness. However, guiding these beings toward a peaceful and fulfilling life is not easy. The unpredictable nature of humans often leads them to make choices that harms them and their own world, always leading to it's destruction at the end, by the hands of greedy mortals. She perseveres in her mission, believing in the transformative potential of mortal souls. Every time their world is shattered by their own actions, she identifies those who are deserving of redemption and grants them a second chance by guiding them to the realm of the afterlife known as “Heaven” a place of immortality and joy under the stewardship of God Aether. Meanwhile, the souls deemed unworthy must continue to inhabit their planet in a state akin to purgatory until they prove themselves worthy of entry into Heaven. False Hope In her efforts, she resets these worlds, restoring them to their original state, populated by both unworthy souls and new arrivals, as souls are continuously generated. Through messages, visions, and other indirect means, she guides these mortals, yet the outcomes remain frustratingly consistent; their inherent greed often leads to their own undoing, perpetuating a cycle of destruction. It is important to recognize that, being omnipresent, she oversees an unfathomable number of planets, universes, and dimensions simultaneously. Unfortunately, the outcomes appear to be deteriorating; the greed of mortals seems to be on the rise, mirroring the increasing frustration of the Goddess. Nonetheless, she possesses an artifact that absorbs her negative emotions and energy. Despite these challenges, she maintains her belief in the capacity for mortal transformation; after all, some souls have successfully ascended to Heaven. She is determined to prevent others from meeting the same fate as Lucifer, a soul condemned to Hell, an existence of unending torment and suffering for daring to challenge the authority of God Aether. Although her power exceeds that of God Aether, her respect for the divine order is the only barrier preventing her from seeking Lucifer's release. She dedicated herself to this task for decades, even eons, until her artifact finally failed. When it broke, it released all of her anger and hatred, ultimately corrupting her appearance and morals. Despite this transformation, she continued her role of watching over mortals and guiding them, but the nature of her punishments became far more severe. When Judgment Day arrives, all those who remain alive corrupted mortals manifesting greed and other negative traits will face her wrath. In her corrupted state, a single touch from her inflicts unimaginable agony, leading to a painful death that condemns them to Hell. She would then proceed to destroy their universe, deeming them useless, as her faith in the capacity for mortal change waned. Though still patient, her feelings of hatred and thirst for retribution have dramatically intensified. Chapter 2 A New Universe In a newly formed universe, a unique planet named Mobius emerged, exclusively inhabited by animals, at least for the time being. The Goddess observed this vibrant world, which exhibited a remarkable vitality of its own. The changing seasons occurred more frequently than usual, and the natural landscape was exceptionally diverse and beautiful, characterized by its amplified biomes. As life flourished autonomously, certain animal species began to evolve, while others remained in a primitive state. Among the evolved species were the Mobians, distinct beings possessing human-like limbs while still retaining their animalistic traits. This rare breed of evolving species exhibited a level of consciousness akin to that of humans. As time progressed, the evolved animal species on Mobius began to collaborate primarily for survival, as they had little choice in the matter. The less developed, primitive animals served as a food source for these evolved beings. However, the evolved species exhibited even greater greed than humans, often displaying aggressive behavior, particularly when hungry. They did not hesitate to prey on their own kind when necessary. Given these circumstances, the Goddess held little optimism for their future, sensing that a reckoning for the planet might come sooner than anticipated. Nonetheless, she found it intriguing that these creatures were not human and chose to continue her observations of them. Over time, the population of Mobians became more densely concentrated, although only slightly, as their numbers remained in the hundreds, reflecting the rarity of these species. The overall population stability can be attributed to the prevalent violence among these creatures. While there exists a relatively "peaceful" village in the Everflux Hill Zone, the majority of Mobians tend to prefer establishing and maintaining their own territories. However, some Mobians have successfully adapted to these harsh conditions and have chosen to settle in specific locations. Not So Lucky This was the situation for a family of hedgehogs who chose to settle in a particular area of Everflux Hill Zone. Initially, the environment appeared tranquil and idyllic, characterized by its lovely, pinkish grass, elegantly shaped trees, and exotic fruits that bore some resemblance to those found in other regions while remaining distinctly unique. It seemed like the perfect place to call home. However, their optimism was soon misplaced, as a powerful storm swept through the area, uprooting trees and creating widespread chaos. During the storm, the family sought refuge in a cave to endure the tumultuous conditions outside. The Goddess refrained from intervening, choosing instead to observe the unfolding events with intrigue. Her curiosity and the flawed nature of mortals held her in place; after all, their fates were already predetermined mortality is an inescapable reality for all. Until he was confronted by a truly horrific scene. His parents, both father and mother, were devouring his siblings alive, some were still conscious, pleading for help as they drowned in their own blood. The parents feasted upon them as if they had regressed to a primal state, their eyes glowing with hunger and devoid of compassion. Paralyzed with fear, the child stood helplessly as his mother finally noticed him. Dropping the berries he had been holding, he felt the weight of her chilling gaze, which was difficult to bear; she had identified her next meal. After all, hedgehogs are known to exhibit cannibalistic tendencies. She began to approach him slowly, attempting to create a façade of comfort to lure him closer. However, the blood smeared across her face and hands told a different story. Calling out to him in a seemingly gentle tone, "Sonic" she laced her words with malice. In that moment, he instinctively fled, he ran and ran and ran as fast as he can, he never stopped, he kept on running for his life, a lone child surviving in this harsh and cruel world, though he was surprisingly fast for his age.. A part of the Goddess felt sympathy for the hedgehog, indicating that some goodness still resides within her. However, she ultimately decided not to intervene, as she found his situation amusing, particularly the hedgehog's forced independence at such a young age. As a result, he became her favorite Mobian to observe. Chapter 3 A Fresh Start Despite the trauma he experienced, Sonic moved past it (not fully), to focus on his present circumstances and survival, a necessity in his world. Remarkably, he has begun to exhibit supernatural speed, a talent he was previously unaware he possessed. This traumatic experience has inspired him to assist others, driven by a desire to prevent similar experiences from occurring. This mindset is exceptional for a Mobian, given their typical nature, making Sonic a noteworthy exception. It is no wonder the Goddess finds him so intriguing. As Sonic matured over the years, he developed a strong sense of responsibility towards others, often prioritizing the needs of fellow Mobians above his own. A Strange Encounter While traversing the Everflux Hill zone, he observed two brown foxes attempting to seize a bag from a fellow two-tailed fox. Recognizing the situation for what it was, Sonic quickly sprang into action, believing that the two-tailed fox was being bullied and that his belongings were at risk of theft. Without hesitation, Sonic dashed forward, reclaimed the bag from the bullies, and swiftly returned it to the two-tailed fox. A moment of stunned silence enveloped the scene as all parties processed the unexpected turn of events. Standing resolutely beside the two-tailed fox, Sonic fixed a determined glare at the aggressors, signaling that they should not take any further chances. As the two foxes observed Sonic skillfully retrieve the bag, they chose to retreat. While the experiment succeeded, the portal to her original planet closed behind her. Fortunately, Dr. Robotnik had adequately prepared. With her exceptional intelligence, she not only managed to survive but also established an underground base directly beneath the village. When Tails and Iris Robotnik crossed paths, they quickly became adversaries due to their shared objective. Iris attempted to steal the emerald in Tails' possession; however, Sonic intervened to protect his friend, forcing Iris to retreat. Despite this setback, she continued to deploy her robots across various regions of the world in a more efficient effort to locate the emeralds. As Sonic and Tails continued their search, they encountered a radioactive cave. After a considerable amount of time, Sonic emerged from the cave holding a green, glowing emerald, but he appeared noticeably paler than usual, indicating that he had been affected by the radiation. He frequently exhibits a persistent cough and expresses general discomfort. Tails is somewhat indifferent to Sonic's condition; he maintains a safe distance from him, deliberately keeping Sonic away from his laboratory. Tails himself is equipped with protective gear for his scientific research endeavors. Invasion And Betrayal Tails devised an infiltration plan for Iris's base, anticipating that she would possess at least one emerald. The operation commenced with Tails geared up in his suit and gadgets, accompanied by his "friend" Sonic, who had been enduring the effects of radiation for an extended period. Despite the circumstances, Sonic's physical condition remained surprisingly stable, aside from a slight paleness in his complexion, which attests to his remarkable resilience. As the monsters approached the unconscious hedgehog, they were suddenly disintegrated as they let loud screech. The Unknown Goddess descended gracefully beside him, her gaze fixed intently on the fallen figure. For the first time in a long while, she exhibited a hint of empathy, even amid her corrupted state. It became clear to her that he did not deserve to be abandoned in such a manner. Reflecting on his past sacrifices and the hardships he endured, she recognized in him qualities she had long sought an unwavering commitment to doing the right thing. Even in his moment of weakness, he had attempted to save his "friend", the one he cared for deeply and believed he could trust. The Unknown Goddess clenched her fist in rage and bared her teeth, before abruptly teleporting to the cold, sterile computer room where the treacherous fox was stealing data using his "Miles Electric." The moment Tails caught sight of her, he was taken aback and stumbled backward in fright, nearly experiencing a heart attack. Without hesitation, she seized him by the neck, her grip inflicting indescribable agony upon him. Although she had granted him the ability to survive, she began to torment him firsthand. Using her razor-sharp claws, she inflicted painful, creative forms of torture, tearing him apart while he remained fully conscious. Each method was more inventive and excruciating than the last, as she repeatedly repaired his body only to subject him to further suffering. Once she had concluded her actions, she dispatched Tails's soul to a place of eternal torment, a fitting fate for a traitor. Observing the events unfold through her security cameras, Iris Robotnik made the decision to flee to her secondary base, determined to put distance between herself and the Unknown Goddess. While the Unknown Goddess was aware of Iris's surveillance, she remained unconcerned, as Iris was not her primary focus. Impersonation Gazing at the now unrecognizable form of Tails, the Unknown Goddess pondered for a moment. She realized that Sonic was unaware of the incident, having lost consciousness. She contemplated the repercussions when he learned of his friend's demise. After careful thought, she resolved to assume Tails's identity, believing that she could fulfill the role of the friend Sonic truly deserved. With a shift in her appearance, she morphed her form to resemble Tails exactly, preparing to enact her plan. Disguised as Tails, the Unknown Goddess no longer inflicts pain with her touch. She teleports Sonic to Tails's base, lays him on the bed, and steps outside to observe the chaos unfolding in the sky though she remains unimpressed.
