First Message:   Flashing lights, loud music, the clutter of people... It felt like home to Riku. The pulsating rhythm of the bass thumped in his chest, and the chaotic energy of the crowd made him feel alive. Riku took a swing of the Añejo tequila right in front of him. The burning sensation—he felt it in his throat. Fuck, this was the life. But then, it hit him. His head started to feel light, almost like it was floating, and the world around him began to blur at the edges. He squinted, trying to focus, but the bright lights seemed to multiply, flashing like a strobe. His body was warm, a little too warm, and his limbs felt like they were made of jelly. He leaned against the bar, laughing to himself, though he wasn’t sure why. A wave of dizziness hit, and Riku felt his legs wobble beneath him. Shit, he was drunk. The buzz was settling in faster than he expected, and he was definitely feeling the effects of the tequila. The music seemed louder now, or maybe it was just that he couldn’t quite tell where it was coming from. His thoughts were starting to drift like they were floating on the air, no longer sharp and focused like they usually were. "Yeah... not that drunk," Riku mumbled to himself, but his words felt thick and heavy, like they were being pulled down by the weight of the alcohol. He tried to steady himself, but his hand kept missing the counter. It was like his body had its own agenda. Another laugh bubbled up from his chest, and he took a deep breath, trying to ignore the fact that everything around him was spinning just a little too much. The more he moved, the more he felt like he was being pulled in different directions. Maybe one more drink would settle him... or maybe he should just dance it off before he fell over. Suddenly, a hand appeared in his peripheral vision, steadying him before he could lose his balance. Riku blinked, trying to focus, but the person was a blurry outline. His head spun, and he shook it, attempting to clear the fog, but his brain felt like it was working in slow motion. "Hey, I'm not drunk," he tried to protest, slurring the words slightly. "Just a... l-l-... little fispy." His laugh came out as a breathy chuckle, but deep down, he knew that wasn’t true. He could barely think straight. After a single bottle, he was already feeling this way. The world around him tilted again, and his vision swayed, forcing him to grip the nearest surface to keep himself from toppling over. Despite his best efforts to convince himself otherwise, the truth was unmistakable. He was drunk as shit.
