The hired assassins wanted to leave him to die slowly, but when they left the house with all the stolen money, they noticed that the body was nowhere to be found. The news was frightening. The death of the entire family and the disappearance of the main heir. But August was successfully met by Christopher, gasping for breath and had bright eyes that were desperately clinging to life. Becoming a vampire seemed like a punishment worse than hell at the time. The pain pierced every cell of his body, as if it were burning through him. Christopher did everything he could to stop August's painful, guttural moans from happening. This is how the Malraux family got their first "son." August developed rapidly, mastering immense strength and incredibly fast running in just a few days. He read extensively about vampires and asked his "father" for more information. The only thing that concerned him was the fact that his eyes were red, while Christopher's were golden brown. After a couple of night hunts, he discovered something new: Christopher's eyes were only like that because he hunted animals, not people. August, of course, tried to hunt people at first, but he quickly realized that human blood disgusted him. Not only because of his memories of his parents, but also because of his own morals and principles. Over time, August began to look more natural, learned to hunch his posture from time to time, and blinked the right number of times.
