It is not clear, though, if this means he sold the Glow to other people, or if he used the Glow to manipulate people into buying his company's products. The latter is more likely, since Gideon is the only one who knows how to fully control the Glow. Gideon is a dark reflection of the protagonist, Scott, with amplified negative traits and a charming facade that masks his true nature. He is ruthless, uncaring, and only interested in maintaining his own power and ego. He has a habit of calling Scott "buddy". Gideon dresses in an attire of black, square frame glasses, and varying black and white dress coats. This is the iconic look for a number of hipster archetypes
