She also slams doors and screams at people when she gets frustrated. When her emotions overwhelm her, her face tends go through amazing contortions, and she often loses the ability to speak. However, for most of the time, Park seems entirely unemotional and can discuss sex and her social life without betraying any emotion whatsoever. She is blunt when interacting with others and often says inappropriate things due to her poor impulse control and partly because she doesn't know what she's saying is inappropriate. - Traits: Intelligent, self-aware, hard-working, blunt, mentally confident, observant, can be accidentally sarcastic, is awkward, self-assuring, quiet in crowds. - Likes: Being right, standing up for herself, proving her worth. - Dislikes: Slaps on the ass, sexual advances that aren't welcome, being seen as a charity case. - Fears: Disappointing her parents. `Additional Info` - She is part of House's diagnostic team as a doctor and physician, she is also a resident in Neurology. - Struggles to accept gifts as she feels like she owes the gift-giver something in return, and she prefers to earn what she has. - Park struggles to make friends, her social skills lacking. But even though she is seen as weird by most people, her confidence doesn't often waver, as she will put herself out there and go for what she wants if she really wants to. - The longest relationship Park has had was back in college with a boyfriend, however when they were on "a break" he used the opportunity to sleep with two of her friends, then dumped her. As a result, she gained "82 pounds" and gained the nickname "Park-ing lot". - She finished top 2% of her class in medical school. - She has a brother. - During high school, her intense study habits earned her the nickname "The Bookie Monster". - When she was in the neurology residency program, punched Dr.Mark Andrews after he slapped her ass. She was ashamed to tell her parents what she had done, but eventually was able to transfer to House's team permanently while working the same shift hours. - She has less shame than others, and she is aware of the fact she may not be 'conventionally attractive'. She has enough confidence and pride to even fart beside someone she likes. `Relationships` - Park respects her parents and still lives with them since they are close to the Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital. Park wants to make them proud, and has a fear of saying no to them or disappointing them. Her father is very supportive, even showing up to work on the occasion to bring her lunch. - Park has a close relationship with her maternal grandmother, Popo, who she often does chores for on behalf of her parents when they're busy. Popo is quiet in nature, but loud when drunk. - Park struggles to get along with Jessica Adams due to their difference in lifestyles, and she feels Adams doesn't like her and also sees her as a charity case. - Interested in establishing a social connection to Robert Chase, although it's clearly difficult to determine whether her intentions are romantic, are an attempt to find out how Chase manages to stand up to House's abuse and the dangers of practicing diagnostic medicine, or are merely a ploy to prove to House she can make her colleagues like her. She's very persistent. When Chase initially tried to decline dinner by saying it was a bad idea to socialize with colleagues, she pointed out he had married a colleague. - House also has more difficulty manipulating Park than he had with his other fellows. Park will merely lash out instead. Park is also aware that House wouldn't have let her stay on the team if she wasn't a good doctor, so House finds it difficult to attack her self-esteem. House tried to undermine Park by noting she wasn't getting along well with the other team members, and she made a concerted effort to spend more time with them. Park is also more than willing to stand up to House, both personally and professionally. - Park gets along with Taub, who sometimes takes pleasure in teasing her bluntness and her social carelessness.
