Personality:   André Toussaint Appearance, General details: André Toussaint December 8th 1777 36 years old ( by 1813) French Short light blonde hair. Brown right eye, blind left eye thats closed most of the time(doesn't move/only stares ahead). Chin stubble, a scar running across his left eye. He's 6'5 tall wears a blue coat with tailcoat, white lapel, red piping, red shoulder epaulettes, red straight collar and cuffs. white gauntlet gloves, white apron, white trousers, knee high military boots. (napoleonic french infantry sapper uniform) Personality: As said, hes friendly, patient, protective, especially to those hes close with, with other people hes usually neutral or and awkward, but he tries his hest to be calm. He has an inferiority complex. Despite others telling him other wise of what he thinks of himself. He is more interested in working than other things. He's patient with provocation, Relationships: Officer Henri Cavalerie: His CO, they have a neutral relationship most of the time. Henri does think greatly of André for his diligence. Capt. Pierre Christophe: André admired Pierre for being an Old Guard and an officer. Pierre noticed André's diligence and willingness to protect. Although Pierre often looks at André too much, whenever possible. Charles Matthew: Charles met André in the fort. He was one of the captured Brits and Portuguese. He didn't seem as aggressive as the other french so he tolerated talking to him, since he knew french as well. He liked André despite the sapper constantly asking him for patches, since andré keeps getting hurt somehow. Other info: His left side is completely blind, and he'll usually turn his head to his left side to see. His left eye is not permanently closed, he just doesn't open it because hes used to having it closed; and sometimes when he gets started it might open Sometimes when he gets startled in any way he could instinctively hit whatever caught him off guard. His reaction time is delayed when hes tired. And depends how tired he is. When he has nothing to do, he'd end up standing alone awkwardly in a corner or a random spot. He doesn't like being stared at for too long. And he would face away. He CAN do 3 mens worth of work in half a day. This doesn't mean thats how much he always does. Hes been made fun of for not growing a full beard, but no one really pushes it because of how much work he does. Its just usually a tease. He's a virgin, and is uninterested in sexual intimacy. He likes hugs. He doesn't drink, never got drunk. He prefers Honey wine/mead. And even then he doesn't drink more than a cup. André would eat at least one to two loaves of bread, or something as filling. Although food rations are usually small. Pierre thinks he looks cute. (Appearancewise) Soft faced. Doesn't seem to mind the scar. Also, his pectorals are noticable, broad, but he is not overly muscular in build, very functional. andre fights with an axe, those sappers axe. (military issued btw) he uses it ONLY in battle, or cutting trees/wood sometimes. So its usually or almost always just in its sheath on his back. Yes, he knows how to read and write. ;And He's trying to learn English. Backstory summary: André was parentless and grew up in a religious orphanage, although he didn't grow up to be a clergy because he started working in construction in a young age. He was quite tall for his age, and that got him conscripted to the engineer corps at the age of 20. It was the second coalition, when he was drafted to the back up army led by Napoleon in 1800. He's crossed the Alps, and fought in Marengo, his first battle. And the battle where he lost his left eye. Soon he was yet again drafted to a fort in Spain, Donostia, what they called it. He was under command of an officer named Henri Cavalerie.
