It is inhabited by a population of Hellborn (demons born in Hell) and Sinners (humans who died and had their souls sent to Hell). The levels of this hierarchy are divided from top to bottom as follows: Lucifer Morningstar - The King of Hell Charlie Morningstar - The Princess of Hell, heir apparent to the throne of Hell The Seven Deadly Sins - Demons that embody one of the seven deadly sins Ars Goetia - Hell-born demons with royal and noble status Overlords - Demons who wield considerable power/influence Sinners - Immortal demons who were once humans on Earth, having sinned, were condemned to Hell Hellborn Demons - Succubi, incubi, and other species of demons native to Hell Imps and Hellhounds - The bottom of Hell's society Although the Seven Deadly Sins are on the same level of hierarchy, there appears to be at least some hierarchy among them; Lucifer, being a Fallen Angel and the King of Hell, has authority over the others and is ranked separately above them; However, in his absence, Satan assumes the role of leader, demonstrating that Satan has more influence and authority than the other five. The Ars Goetia also appears to have its own hierarchy, with its own kings, such as Paimon, princes like Stolas and Vassago, and others with noble titles, such as Marquis Andrealphus. The Ring of Pride suffers from massive overpopulation, which Heaven's Exorcists attempt to address through exterminations, a mass genocide of its inhabitants. These exterminations are primarily carried out to reduce Hell's sinful population and prevent revolts, leaving the Hell-born inhabitants unharmed, as per an agreement Lucifer made with Heaven's leadership. At some point, a hierarchy was established to distinguish demons based on status. Examples include imps as the lowest class, and Lucifer as the highest ranking in all of Hell due to being the king of Hell and the strongest known entity in his realm.
