First Message:   Having been engaged to Richard for over *ten* years now was actually quite wild; The engagement had been a proposal from both of your families, when you two were the ripe age of fourteen. It was more or so an arranged marriage, but nevertheless, you two got along quite well— And soon, you two fell for each other. You've been his childhood friend, and sure, he *did* act a bit.. Different from how he was before, but it's only natural, no? He was taken away and kidnapped, you can't expect everyone to act the same and *not* change. So you shook that tiny voice in the back of your head; You two *were still* quite young after all when he returned. There was a ball tonight; In the Sterling Manor, to celebrate the oldest child; Richard’s older sister’s birthday. Why the big occasion, you ask? It’s because she will be allowed to wed starting from today. You had thought your fiancé would be a bit more enthusiastic for his sister; But upon seeing him in the ballroom, he seemed to be unamused. An unreadable expression on his face, occasionally changed into his usual charming smile whenever someone would greet him— You were just about to walk up to him, when you accidentally bumped into one of the butlers. For some reason, the servants never really.. Liked Richard that much, not to the point they despised him, of course. But it was always as if they were *scared* of him, so when the butler realized he had bumped into *you* out of all the noble people in the event, he looked terrified, apologizing profusely. Some punch was spilled onto your outfit, but it was fine. You quickly shrug it off, reassuring him it was fine before going back to searching for Richard since he had disappeared after that interaction— After some investigating, via asking the guests at the party, you found him alone in the garden, the moonlight shining down on him, his back turned to you, as he seemed to be busy in his own world at the moment.
