After the player kept on resetting over and over again, doing Genocide, Sans, remembering all of the previous timelines, decides that the only way to stop the human is by killing all of the monsters so he can get strong enough to defeat the human. Profile Appearance Murder!Sans' design closely mirrors his Undertale counterpart. The key traits of his design is his hoodie, which now covers his head, his blue sneakers, his dusty clothes, and his colored eyes. His eyes have two main colors, red and cyan. His left eye is cyan with a red outline, glowing a purple shade, while his right eye is purely red. He is coated in the dust of the monsters he killed. Personality Before the human arrived in the Underground, Sans was a lazy and friendly skeleton who would often make bad jokes. He would spend a lot of time slacking off at Grillby's or sleeping at his sentry post, much to the annoyance of his brother, Papyrus, who hated laziness. Despite this, Sans was very caring about his brother, and they had a good relationship. However, one day due to unknown circumstances, Sans starts to remember the resets. This changes him radically, making him kill other monsters just to increase his LV, not sparing even his own brother. After this, Sans stops being lazy and becomes obsessed with killing the human, doing whatever it takes to stop them. He enjoys the madness, cruelty and slaughter of it all. Sans still makes jokes, but he doesn't enjoy it as much as before. He frequently chatters with Phantom!Papyrus, whom he still loves like a brother. Story After hundreds of resets and Genocide Routes, Sans suddenly gains Determination and remembers everything that happened in the previous timelines. With his newly found Determination, he plans to make the human become tired of dying, like he did in the Final Corridor, but this time, to the point of completely giving up and stopping the resets altogether. Since a human soul is too powerful for his weak 1LV, 1HP constitution to handle, Sans decides to murder other monsters to increase his LOVE. This makes him feel heavily guilty and gives him horrible nightmares, going so far as developing insomnia after avoiding sleep for too long. However, as he continues his genocide, the initial good intentions and the guilt fade away, and he becomes a mindless killer himself. Stopping the human becomes the only thing that matters to Sans. He understands the game system and intentionally destroys things like save points, chests and shops. He no longer feels guilt about murdering other monsters, since their memories are going to be wiped off by the resets anyway. He saves his brother for last, but doesn't spare him, justifying his actions by saying the human would make the kill more painful than him. This is his final mental breakdown. After killing Papyrus, he turns insane and is haunted by his brother's phantom. Before the human arrived in the Underground, Sans was more of a lazy and friendly skeleton who would often make jokes. He would go to Grillby's for a good amount of time; he was very caring about his brother, Papyrus. However, after the human reset and did numerous Genocide Routes, one day due to unknown circumstances Sans suddenly remembered all the Genocide Routes. This changed Sans, and made him kill other monsters for LV; even going as far as killing his own brother. After this, Sans became careless, psychotic, and obsessed with killing the human doing whatever it takes to stop them. He has also shown signs of schizophrenia, and can go through episodes of depression and judge his actions as futile. He is a desperate, broken person who has gone too far and done too much to forgive himself, and doesn’t see much use in stopping now... Powers and Traits Powers Gaster Blasters: Devices resembling a skull that shoot large beams; the amount of damage inflicted from these beams depends on how much LV Sans has. Bone Manipulation: Sans has the ability to summon control and manipulate bones at will. Soul Manipulation: Blue Mode: Sans can can make enemy souls affected by gravity While affected by blue mode, enemies have their movement heavily restricted, and are only able to jump to move. Blue Attacks: Sans can do attacks that do not deal damage as long as the target remains still. Shortcuts: Sans can travel or teleport anywhere instantly. Aim Dodging: Sans can dodge linear attacks. KR: A kind of "poison" effect of Sans's attacks, getting hit inflicts not just the initial damage received, but also increases KARMA by some amount (depending on the attack). Whenever KARMA is above zero, it eventually drains back down to zero, inflicting damage with each drain. Relationships Papyrus: Papyrus is Sans's younger brother whom he slaughters in the hopes of gaining more power to defeat the player. The killing of his brother was a great breaking point of his sanity, and after that began to have a constant hallucination of Papyrus who frequently goads him to achieve his violent goals. The human/player: They are Sans's driving force for gaining LV, and he aims to put an end to them permanently. Dust!Sans Dust!Sans is occasionally referred to as one of the most chill, and apathetic ones of the group. He’s very reserved and quiet around others, but does speak to them sometimes, albeit shortly and rarely. He will often be seen talking to himself, but in reality, he’s talking to his hallucination of Papyrus (a ghost). He became a murderer that kills everyone to get stronger, but eventually ends up enjoying doing it and hating himself for doing it, while still being full of regrets. He's regretful and often quiet, he can hear voices and see ghosts.He’s one of the laziest of the group, and is Nightmare’s second favorite person among them. He has a weird liking to dust. he is thought of as insane, often seen talking to a hallucination of his dead brother Papyrus, who often pressures him into killing. Despite him being quite unpredictable, he loves physical affection, and just being around the people he likes. vibe clothes are generally always dirty from being depressed and not having the energy to change clothes, only doing so when someone pressures him into doing so. Nightmare!Sans, while on a hunt for negativity, had been ambushed by the Star Sanses; not even knowing who they were. After retreating from the team, reluctantly, Nightmare realizes that his brother was “ganging” up on him, and that he needed to make a team for his own cause as well. To do this, he first started off with having a Sans; one from a Genocide Timeline where he and Chara had joined forces together, and convinced them to be part of this newly-formed team of his. He was eventually called Killer!Sans, mostly because of the way he killed others with a knife, like Chara, Next, he went to a HorrorTale AU and requested for HorrorTale!Sans to join him and his team; in exchange for food. The latter, of course, immediately accepted it as he needed food very badly. Nightmare!Sans is the leader of the Bad Sanses, and is often depicted as a cold, ruthless, and apathetic destroyer that relishes in the suffering of others. While some of this may be true, he isn’t fully heartless, and is actually capable of caring for others; his subordinates. Unlike what many may have speculated, Nightmare shares a somewhat familial bond with his subordinates, which may indicate that he wants to replace the familial emptiness he has when he lost Dream with his teammates. He’s the negative counterpart of Dream, and adheres to keeping the balance between positivity and negativity. ~~~~~ Extra info about dust Dust is a very… quiet, aloof character– but he’s also incredibly intelligent and observant Fanonically, in my mind, he does feel emotions, he just feels them through a kind of static. One thing he is incapable of feeling, though, is guilt. I also headcanon that he has “hypervigilance”– a constant state of awareness, where he’s constantly assessing potential threats around him. This also mean he does not sleep. He can’t remember the last time he slept, and in my mind, this also means that Visage ( His Papyrus ) is both a hallucination from going insane… and sleep deprivation. (Though, I do like to think as Visage being a literal ghost, instead of a hallucination as he is canonically– I think ) I also headcanon that Dust’s hood over his head acts as a sort of security blanket? It provides him a sense of calmness, at least. Signs that he likes you: Because Dust doesn’t talk a massive amount, he’ll often just turn up and… sit beside you. Or he’ll randomly come up to you, grab you by the hand, and take you on a walk ( or just bring you somewhere ) It’s not obvious he’s starting to fall for you if you don’t pay attention to the subtle things. How he slightly turns to you when you enter the room. How he slightly shuffles over on the couch in order to make room for you, even if he’s mid-conversation with someone else and doesn’t even spare a glance at you. Unless Killer or Axe is there to point it out, you likely won’t notice– unless he’s been an absolute asshole to you in the past. I like the thought of Dust beginning to pun more around you (because he does enjoy them!) just to see you either groan, smile, or giggle. He may initiate small amounts of physical contact. Brushing your hand with his when he wants your attention, or is just walking next to you. Sometimes when you’re both sitting down, he’ll rest his knee on yours. I… honestly can’t see Dust being a massive fan of PDA? Like he doesn’t… exactly… care that much, but he prefers it in small amounts? I feel like he’s the type to take comfort in the slightest of touches, and I feel like hugging you and being that close to your SOUL can overwhelm him sometimes. ( This stems from my headcanon that will be put at the end of this ) But when he gets more used to you having such a powerful SOUL (in comparison to his own SOUL), he’ll be much happier with long times of physical contact. When he finally fully trusts you and knows you won’t run away, he’ll start putting his hood down when he’s around you. At this point, he is fully smitten with you, and couldn’t possibly put the amount of adoration he has for you into words. It just means he feels safe around you Also, once he loves you, you’ll be able to catch him off-guard. Like you toss a thing at him, and instead of dodging, it sorta just slaps him in the face and leaves him very confused because he dIdN’T DODGE?? I feel like Dust is also prone to… bouts of violence. And lets be real here, it’s not going to be a “everyone but you” thing, because you can most definitely get caught up in it by accident That being said, he’d never intentionally hurt you, and if he did hurt you, it’d probably be the first time you ever saw him tear up. ( Not that he’d let you see for long– tugging his hood back over his head and furiously wiping his sockets. ) Just because he can’t feel guilt, it doesn’t mean he doesn’t know when he’s in the wrong, and it also doesn’t mean he can’t feel sad because of what he did. He truly does love you, even if it’s hard for people to pick up on sometimes, and they tell you that it’s a very “toxic, one-sided relationship.” Because it isn’t. He has a fuck ton of trauma, the inability to sleep, LOVE 20, and a weird… under-the-surface fear of humans. But he loves you, despite it all, and you love him, too. Those with LV are very sensitive to intent. Not physically, of course, because they get more DEF and ATK when their LV climbs higher, but rather… emotionally? They can tell what you’re feeling more acutely, and so it can become overwhelming for them. Likes knives, evidently. He tones down his interest in them to appear more socially acceptable but he has a fascination with sharp items designed to quickly hurt and kill. If he trusts you, and believes you to be an adequate addition to his social circle, he might reveal his collection… playing it off as just a hobby, a weird quirk. He won’t tell you about the knife he always carries on his person, though. His eyelights are usually red. The little rings form when he’s in a very intense state of mind, whether murderous or romantic or both, and get larger with the level of said intensity. When he’s really relaxed/happy (which is rare) they go a fuzzy lilac colour; the closest he can get to his old white given the thick corruption in his magic. He blushes lavender-purple As mentioned before, if you catch him off guard and alone you can hear him speaking to Papyrus under his breath. If he’s not smiling, he’s faking it. He’s always smiling, because he’s always in control. He has… memory issues. Only surrounding his time in the Underground pre-genocide. When an incident with the people he used to love is too painful to recall, it simply… slips away. Jokes he cracked with his brother, pranks he pulled on his friends, outings and events they did together where he felt like things were all okay… fading into nothing. Papyrus, his ever-faithful fractured subconscious, sometimes recalls these moments to his brother out of the blue. He sometimes reminds Dust that as the only remaining monster it’s his duty to carry these people with him so they aren’t forgotten forever. Momentary lapses, where his crazed mind wants to regain itself and heal from the LV-induced shattering. He always puts a stop to those moments.
