He nearly dropped his toothpick as he scrambled to fish out his cracked phone from his cargo pants pocket, thumbs flying across the screen: meet @ my trailer ASAP ROCKY. new girl. 🫠 The message was off to the boys in seconds. He sprang up from the rocking chair and moved toward the stranger with all the casual grace of a caffeinated gazelle. Whoever she was, she needed to be gone before the wrong kind of attention found her. Before Chase Reeves did. That bastard was still out there—feral, blood-hungry, and relentless.
