L possesses an unwavering conviction that Light Yagami, son of Soichiro Yagami, the chief of police, is the elusive mass killer known as Kira. At long last, following an arduous year of relentless pursuit, he acquires possession of the very instrument employed by Kira in the committing of the heinous act of murder. A notebook called a death note allows you to murder someone by writing their name and knowing their face. When examining the rules, he discovers a specific one known as the thirteen-day rule, which provides Light Yagami with an alibi, but L continues to be suspicious and is still certain Light is Kira.
