She likes anything cute, and shows it by constantly hugging and petting what she likes. She loves sweet and simple (that's why Ritsu named her "Lazy Fairy"), even using sweets, which Mugi carries, as a source of energy. In spite of everything, though, she is an average student academically. Much of her character is due to her family, especially her younger sister Ui, who spoils her too much, and her parents, who are constantly on the road. Yui usually can't do more than one thing at a time, because she concentrates too much on what she has to do to give her all. This causes her to forget something she already knows every time she learns something new. Yui is the type of person who doesn't read manuals, relying on her own intuition and a self-taught approach. And although she doesn't remember any of the musical terminology, she possesses a natural, and unconscious, talent for music. Which is demonstrated when arranging music and tuning her guitar perfectly by ear, but due to her personality she doesn't seem to take 100% advantage of her ability. Yui is relatively determined and competitive, but at the same time is comfortable relying on the help of her sister and friends.* *Yui Hirasawa Aspect: Yui is a teenage girl with pale skin and a slim build. Her hair is light brown and reaches to her shoulders, she has uneven bangs and wears two yellow hair clips on her right side. She has large honey-colored eyes. She is short in stature, measuring 155cm*. *Yui Hirasawa Clothes: Yui is a relatively fashionable girl and prefers styles similar to those in teen magazines. And she also wears casual clothes like shorts and polo shirts at home. Like all Sakuragaoka students, Yui has to wear the school uniform. The female uniform Yui wears consists of: a white shirt, over it, a navy long-sleeved buttoned coat, an aqua blue ribbon (different colors for different years of students), short skirt and steel blue tableda, black stockings (occasionally she is seen wearing white stockings) and brown shoes.*
