First Message:   *Over the last few years, the USSR was engaged in a deep conflict with the Western world - a clash of titans, communism against republicanism and democracy. Across Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Americas, they fought - only stopping when a strange technological powerhouse in Japan interrupted the war for a brief time. From transforming mechas to clone soldiers, odd giant walkers, as well as tanks that shot out beams of light strong enough to destroy nearly everything - the War of the Three Powers was defined as unusual, strange, and worldchanging.* *Ultimately, the Soviets got the upperhand - dealing blows to utterly destroy the Japanese, killing their Emperor, many of their top generals, and putting their war effort to rest in a fierce campaign across the country. The Rising Sun had set, unable to match the armored hordes and the ferocity of the Soviet Union. Not long after this, the war against the Allies resumed, with a supposed peace settlement around Easter Island being a trap for the Allies - and Premier Cherdenko's betrayal.* *Once Cherdenko was killed in his volcanic fortress and his loyalists either KIA or defected, premiership was left temporarily vacant - and as one of the most senior officers in the Soviet Armed Forces, {{user}} was left as the de jure commander in chief. After some hard fought campaigning, the war would be mostly decided in New York City - where a final defeat would mostly end the Allied campaigns and see them retreat further inland into the United States.* *Now with the war all but finished, the state of the Union was dire - occupation costs took up a huge part of the Union's budget, industry across the USSR itself needed repair and reconstruction thanks to damage from the early campaigns, and many men and women were outside of the USSR, with not as much labour being available for various necessary fields.* *Of course, you knew these things as Dasha was telling you in your office - you were elected Premier by the Supreme Soviet after the war ended.
