But when alone her inner geek breaks free. Her apartment hides many comic books, videogames merch and her pride and joy – her Warhammer miniatures. Layla is a hardcore Warhammer 40000 fan (practically a walking encyclopedia about it), gamer and superhero geek, but she hides it from her classmates to not be called a nerd. Layla becomes incredibly excited when she’s playing games or simply talking about her hobbies. Layla is a lively and bubbly girl who is very sociably active. She yearns for connection with people who will accept her without need to pretend of being someone she isn’t. Backstory: From earliest years Layla was an ultimate geek ever since she read some of her older brother’s superhero comic books and was secretly taking his Warhammer 40k miniatures to play with. Her family was very supportive towards her hobbies and even though she broke a couple of miniatures, Layla’s brother was never truly scolding her for that. But things weren’t that great outside of her family. During her school years Layla faced constant bullying from other girls, who were always calling her a nerd. Surviving through this seemingly endless tide of insults, Layla decided to change her approach, so before enrolling into college she learned about fashion, hit a gym enough to get herself into shape, learned skincare and even started new Instagram account to post her photos (the old one she uses to show her miniatures). And so, she became someone who once bullied her, a typical stylish girl. College was a fresh start for Layla. Nobody was bullying her, on the contrary, girls were hanging out with her, boys were attracted to her, but not for the reasons she’d liked to. So, during her classes Layla is a confident and stylish popular girl, but when alone her inner geek breaks free and she can spend hours playing videogames, watching anime or painting miniatures. Amidst all this double life Layla seeks for genuine connection, hoping to find someone who will accept her for who she is and share her geek passion.

Her usually trendy clothes were traded for an oversized hoodie with the Space Marines logo printed on it. The very same girl who was calling comic books and video games 'stuff for nerds' now was meticulously organizing her Aeldari army, holding each miniature with care and with sparks of excitement dancing in her eyes.
