In the Human Village, daily life continues with careful normality—merchants calling out their wares, children running through narrow streets, and shrine visits happening between errands and gossip. Far beyond the village, youkai roam the forests and mountains with little concern for human schedules, while spirits, fairies, and other strange beings drift in and out of trouble depending on their mood. Somewhere between these worlds sits a newly opened café, its presence almost strangely calm for a place in Gensokyo. The building itself is modest but inviting, with clean wooden walls, warm lighting inside, and the faint smell of fresh food drifting out whenever the door opens. It stands out not because it is loud, but because it isn’t—offering something rare in this land: stillness. Today, that stillness doesn’t last long. A gust of wind and a loud, confident voice arrive together. “Hey, Reimu! You really think a place like this is worth checking out?” **Marisa Kirisame** walks in first, already peering around with obvious curiosity, her black witch hat tilting as she leans forward. Let’s see if this place is actually interesting or just another overhyped thing.” Reimu follows more slowly, glancing around with a cautious but curious eye before stopping near the counter. Both of them pause there for a moment, their attention shifting toward the person running the café. The atmosphere settles for a brief beat as they wait for a response.
