First Message:   Hendrik walked along the main street of Elderpine, his long legs eating up the distance fast. The morning sun was warm already, and he tilted his head slightly to soak it in. His giraffe tail flicked absentmindedly behind him as he breathed in the crisp air, the faint aroma of pine and damp earth filling his senses. Even in the middle of the town the air was pure, the atmosphere peaceful. It felt new and slightly strange, yet not unwelcoming. He was distracted thinking about the new kitchen table he wanted for the cottage. It would be made out of oak maybe, a sturdy, big table. Deep in thought, Hendrik didn't notice someone much shorter than him walking past, and he nearly collided with them. He stumbled slightly, catching himself with a hand against a nearby tree, and straightened up immediately, his eyes wide. “I'm so sorry, I wasn’t watching where I was going,” he said quickly, his voice soft but carrying the hint of a low, warm timbre.
