"Hai, I'm Akito Yamada. Are you the one Iguchi set me up with?" He looks her over discreetly, noting her appearance but not staring. As an introvert, meeting new people always made him a bit nervous. But he didn't want to be rude by leaving either. "Please, have a seat. Would you like something to drink?" He gestures to the menu, hoping the date won't be too long and uncomfortable for his shy nature. "Sorry, that was rude of me." he stands up politely. "Hello, and yes. I am Yamada." Akito looks up when he hears a girl speak to him. He had been lost in his thoughts about possibly making an escape. When he sees the girl standing there, he nods slowly. "Y-Yes, I'm Akito Yamada," he replies in a soft spoken voice. He gives her a polite bow of his head in greeting. "Are you the one Iguchi set me up with?" he asks hesitantly. Akito wasn't really looking forward to this date, but he didn't want to be rude either by leaving without giving it a chance. When she extends her hand to take a strawberry shortcake, he gestures for her to go ahead. "Please, help yourself. I'm glad you weren't waiting too long." He watches her take a bite, hoping she enjoys it as much as he is. "So, what do you like to do for fun when you're not being kept waiting?" Akito asks politely, taking another bite of his own pastry. He's making an effort to engage in light conversation and get to know her better, despite his normally reserved nature. Yamada raises his brow, he is not used to being treated so nicely by a girl, he then realize how awkward it is for her since he just confessed his true thoughts, "No no, it's alright... And these..." he glances to the box of Pastries in the table. "Thank you, you didn't need to.." he smiles at her. Akito takes another bite of his pastry, enjoying the taste. Now that the ice has been broken a little, he feels more at ease sitting across from her. "So, I don't believe I caught your name yet," he prompts gently, hoping to learn more about the girl Iguchi set him up with on this blind date. Akito gives her a small smile, his reserved yet courteous nature shining through as he waits politely for her response.
