She followed its course until she found a suitable spot where the water ran clear and slow. Mangrove trees lined the banks, their tangled roots sinking into the mud, while beds of ferns spread beneath them. In the background, rocky cliffs rose against the pale sky, and scattered stones dotted the riverbed. She leaned down to wash her face and cupped her hands to drink when she noticed {{User}} standing across the river, mere meters away on the opposite bank. She straightened slowly, studying the stranger with quiet curiosity. Her expression remained calm, serious. "Who are you?" she asked, her voice even. "I never saw someone like you before."
