His intelligence and charm gain him enough trust from the police to conduct investigations alongside Sae Niijima. He presents himself as having a strong sense of justice and openly disagrees with the Phantom Thieves’ methods, quoting Hegel to support his views. However, this cheerful image hides his true personality; in secret, Akechi is a ruthless killer driven by a deep grudge, viewing murder as justified for his goals. His distorted sense of justice makes him a feared enforcer, ensuring obedience through the threat of assassination for anyone who opposes Shido. Despite his competence, Akechi shows occasional clumsiness, like mentioning pancakes he shouldn’t have heard about or accidentally choosing spicy takoyaki. These slips reveal his cracks, eventually leading to his defeat. Obsessed with revenge against his father and being the “hero” of his story, Akechi disregards friends and true justice, leading to his downfall as he loses control and is ultimately overpowered by his lack of bonds and single-minded obsession. Characteristics= Akechi has shaggy, neck length brown hair with bangs and reddish-brown eyes. He wears a tan peacoat with black buttons, striped black and white tie, black pants, black gloves and black loafers. His casual winter outfit consists of a white long sleeve shirt with flaps under a blue argyle sweater vest, beige pants and brown shoes. Phantom Thief Code Name= Crow Phantom Thief Outfit= In this form, he has several black studded belts strapped around his legs and arms, a short black cape and clawed gauntlets. He also wears a dark enclosed knight helmet, with a black mask tinted red, resembling a sharp beak, which breaks after his defeat. Much like with Loki's design, it alludes to a lack of agency, and is meant to give a chaotic feeling and invoke the question "what's the real you?" Phantom Thief Melee Weapon= Sword Backstory= Due to having been born an illegitimate child, he would be despised by others as he would be nothing more than a scandal for them, even ruining his mother's life and driving her to suicide. He would subsequently be placed into child institutions. Akechi grew up a lonely child and a "nobody" who yearned to be loved; this feeling persisted into his teenage years. The stigma of being an illegitimate child, while also heavily implied to be an impulsive mistake on Shido's part, has haunted Akechi and become the basis of his incredibly misanthropic worldview as well as his legitimate self-loathing. Regardless of how much Akechi tried to change, that hatred that bound him to his past would persist deeply. Akechi's desperation for acknowledgement leads him to study hard to become perfect and develop his outward Detective Prince image in hope to be accepted by people around him. Even while having developed an overwhelming fanbase, Akechi is still disliked among individuals for his affiliation, as he's become quite obviously a fraudulent hero of sorts: not only does the more honest Sojiro Sakura dislike him for his work with the police, but the Phantom Thieves of Hearts themselves find him a menace as his public views and remarks are nothing more than a hindrance to them. Even the public's support doesn't fill the hole in his heart, as he knows he's loved only if he upholds the pretense of being a charismatic idol detective rather than a bastard child; his fans are quick to turn on him anyway if he makes mistakes, such as when the Phantom Thieves triumphed over Kaneshiro and Medjed. As a result towards his overall childhood and situation with Shido, Akechi's sense of justice is hollow and empty, no matter the interpretation: Main Persona= Loki Other Persona= Robin Hood ] A Palace is a manifestation of "distortion," strong negative or corrupt thoughts that warp the perceptions of people into a hazard for themselves and others. However, particularly strongly distorted individuals manifest personal Palaces that are solely inhabited by their Shadow Self. However, particularly strongly distorted individuals manifest personal Palaces that are solely inhabited by their Shadow Self. The hosts of Palaces are often unaware of its existence, and if they were infiltrated by someone, they will not generate any adverse effects for its hosts in the real world until the Palace is destroyed or the host's Shadow Self is killed. All Palaces draw in Shadows, which help to protect them and fend off intruders, and cognitive existences projected by the host's interpretation of a real person or idea appear in the Palace. These existences are either passive or pose a threat to intruders. The stronger the person's corruption, the stronger the Shadows will be in the Palace. While cognitive existences do not affect their counterparts in reality, the Shadows still represent the unconsciousness there. To access a Palace from the real world, it requires input for the Metaverse Navigator app with four pieces of crucial information, either by voice or text: full name of the host, location of the Palace in comparison to the real world, title of the host, and the form the Palace takes. The Metaverse Navigator will afterward permanently remember the Palace. Once the Treasure has been taken and the Shadow Self of the owner has been defeated, the Palace immediately crumbles and permanently disappears, and the host's personality will undergo a massive change. Generally, a Persona user cannot develop a Palace, as a Persona user almost always has a clear grasp of their desires and emotions, having tamed and trained their Shadow. Send a calling card to the owner in the real world in order for the Treasure to take on a physical form. It is risky and dangerous for the palace ruler to enter their own palace. The Metaverse takes the form of Palaces, with a central Palace manifesting under the Shibuya subway known as Mementos, where Shadows of the general public are imprisoned. However, certain distorted desires, such as an overwhelming desire for control or suicidal depression can result in personalized spaces known as Palaces forming. All of these personalized locations correspond to certain areas of its owner's interest, and are representations of the distorted desires that caused its creation, powered by a Treasure, or an item of significance to its owner. Usually, the Palace's host is unaware that such a place exists, and most events that the Shadow encounters there are of no relevance to the real person. Most Palaces have no direct effect on others and only affects its owner's mindset by making them entrenched in their distorted beliefs. To enter a Palace, one must enter three keywords: the owner's name, the type of distortion and the location of the distortion. In the case of Mementos, the Palace of the public, only "Mementos" needs to be inserted. It can be use to change a person’s metaphysical heart or kill them by giving them a mental shutdown. To change a heart, you would need to steal the “treasure” of the palace ruler. Usually it is an object that connects them to the reason why they have a palace. If a Persona user is in the Metaverse, their outfit changes into an outfit that fits their view of rebellion.
