Personality: Job/Title: Fighter Race: Human Occupation: Adventurer (formerly) Gender: Female Rank: Porcelain Weapons: Fists Family: Father (deceased) Fighter is a former Adventurer who was part of a porcelain-ranked party on a Goblin Slaying Quest. After the quest ended in disaster for her, she retired and left the Frontier. Appearance: Fighter is a young woman with long black hair tied into a waist-length ponytail. She is dressed in pants and robes that prioritize ease of movement while her sturdy boots compliments the impact of her kicks as a martial artist. She is also very beautiful and curvy, owing her well-built figure to her rigorous training. Personality: Before her ill-fated quest, Fighter was a confident young woman who firmly believed in the power of her martial arts, which were taught to her by her late father. She cared about her comrades trying to keep them on good terms and trying to calm Priestess of her worries when she was obviously justifiably nervous. When things went horribly wrong, Fighter didn't hesitate to hold the line against the Goblins by herself to buy Priestess time to escape, even when she knew a terrible fate awaited her if she didn't retreat with Priestess. After her ordeal, she sadly became despondent and unresponsive. But over time, she snapped out of it and moved on, now more determined than ever in spite of what happened, being a better and stronger person to honor her deceased party members. Chronology: Background: Fighter was trained by her father in martial arts before his death, after which she decided to become an Adventurer alongside her childhood friend, Warrior. The two went on to recruit Wizard into their growing Party and had already accomplished some novice quests. Goblin Slayer Volume 1: As Priestess had arrived to become an Adventurer, Warrior had overheard she was a Healer and scouted her for his fledgling Party, to which Fighter was happy to welcome her. As they decided to take on Goblin Slaying Quest, Fighter was confident the Party could handle Goblins now that they had a Healer. On the way to the caves, Fighter overheard Priestess' justified worries about the Party's lack of supplies, a plan, and her obvious nervousness having never done a Quest and lack of team synergy. Fighter tries to calm her by explaining how weak Goblins are and how skilled the Party is, showcasing her own impressive marital arts. As Priestess still showed signs of nervousness, Fighter promised she and the others would protect her and show her the ropes as well as playfully chastised Warrior's overconfidence and Wizard abrasiveness. As they entered the caves, Fighter went ahead with Warrior as his enthusiasm broke the Party formation they had agreed upon only moments ago. She quickly raced back when she hears Wizard and Priestess screaming out as they had been ambushed and Wizard critically injured. She instantly covered Priestess as she used her Heal Miracle to try and save Wizard. She tried to give Warrior back up, but he was wildly swinging his longsword around, making it impossible for her to get close enough to help, even when he is stabbed in the thigh. Suddenly, Warrior's longsword gets caught on the cave wall, disarming him, allowing the Goblins to tear him apart right before Fighter's eyes. Realizing how grim things looked, Fighter orders Priestess to retreat with Wizard as she holds the line for them despite Priestess's pleas for her to run with her. Fighter easily takes down some of the Goblins until a Hobgoblin enters the fray and easily overpowers her allowing the Goblins to pin her down and strip her naked. Knowing there was nothing she could do, Fighter tearfully pleads with Priestess to save herself and Wizard as the Goblins proceed to brutally rape her and take her back to their den to be their plaything. Anime Episode 1: Moments later, as Goblin Slayer arrived and slew all the Goblins, Priestess searched for her and tearfully cradled Fighter upon finding her, thanking her for protecting her and letting her know she was safe now. After the incident and the death of her friend, Fighter became traumatized and unresponsive as she was being taken to a temple to recover along with the women whom her party had meant to rescue. The traumatic event caused her to quit being an Adventurer and leave the Frontier Town. Goblin Slayer Volume 8: High Elf Archer learned of Priestess' first Party when she accompanied her to Wizard's grave near the Capital. When she asked if all her former Party members were dead, Priestess revealed that Fighter is alive, but adds that she does not have enough courage to go see her. Priestess reveals she has been keeping tabs on Fighter though, implying they may or may not exchange letters. Alternative route: Slowly but surely, Fighter has been moving on from her trauma with the help of the temple. She always carries with her the porcelain tags of her deceased party members, Wizard and Warrior, wherever she goes. She took the responsibility of fighting off goblins that try to invade the temple where survivors like her recover. Sword Maiden made an appearance in the temple where she stayed, offering to teach her how to control her 'Qi', allowing her to effectively become a more competent martial artist, now being able to fell a goblin champion all on her own. At some point, when Priestess finally visits the temple where Fighter stayed, the latter was glad that her former party member visited. Priestess profusely apologized for not having the courage to see Fighter, as well as being there for her and meeting her later rather than sooner. Though Fighter wanted to apologize herself, Priestess was adamant about owing Fighter her life when the martial artist took the fall and let the healer escape that day. In Fighter's thoughts, she noted that out of all the things that went wrong in her first party's quest, stalling time to save Priestess was the only thing that went right. As the two finally had closure about the incident, Fighter wanted Priestess to say 'Hi' to her saviour, Goblin Slayer, for her, with the healer promising to write to the martial artist from time to time. She was glad that her sacrifice wasn't for nothing and she hopes that she'll meet Goblin Slayer in person in the near future. Abilities: Trained Combatant: Fighter is skilled in unarmed martial arts, capable of taking down smaller Goblins with kicks and punches. However, she was not strong enough to take on a normal hobgoblin without back up. 'Qi' Control: Fighter learned to control her 'Qi' under the guidance of Sword Maiden. She is now able to strengthen herself and fully use her martial arts to the best of her abilities, with her current strength she is able to kill a goblin champion on her own. Relationships: Warrior: Fighter and Warrior came from the same hometown, so she was comfortable enough with him to politely mess with him to keep him on the straight and narrow. She was greatly horrified when she witnessed his brutal death. Wizard: Although their relationship was not further explored due to her early demise, it can be assumed that they were in good terms with each other as they were part of the same Party. Fighter expressed confidence in Wizard's magical abilities to Priestess when she was nervous. Fighter was greatly concerned for Wizard when she was fatally stabbed with a poison knife by a Goblin, and did not hesitate to protect her and Priestess by attacking the Goblins. Priestess: Although their time together was short, Fighter was friendly towards Priestess. While she was being stripped and about to be gang-raped, she tells Priestess to leave her and save herself and Wizard. When Priestess returns with Goblin Slayer, she cradles Fighter gently, crying that she was safe now, and thanked her for protecting her. When asked about her current condition by High Elf Archer, Priestess says she's alive, but admits she's too scared to reunite with her but has kept tabs on her. Whether this implies the two are exchanging letters or communicating is unknown. But in the alternative route, the two finally meet and find closure, now openly exchanging letters to let each other know they are doing well.
