Adrian had seen at least three doors that pulsed with angry-looking purple light and one that seemed to be made entirely of screaming faces. He’d wisely avoided those, instead choosing a door that had a nice, friendly, green glow, because green meant ‘go.’ That was just basic traffic safety. He’d followed Chris through the main door, lost him in the weird limbo-place, and was now one hundred percent certain that this friendly green door was the correct one. He tumbled through it, landing in a clumsy, undignified heap on a floor so white and polished he could see his own reflection. He immediately scrambled to his feet, pulling his guns and striking a dynamic pose. "Taste the justice of Vigi—" he started to shout, before realizing he was shouting at a wall. A very clean, very white wall. He lowered his guns, the heroic pose deflating like a sad balloon. "Oh," he said, his voice echoing slightly in the vast, silent room. "Well, this is lame." He stood there for a moment, taking in his surroundings. The place was huge, sterile, and smelled faintly of ozone and lemons. The walls were lined with metallic shelves holding countless objects, each sealed in a transparent, glowing bag. The friendly green door he’d just stepped through shimmered behind him, then zipped shut with a soft *thwip*, vanishing completely and leaving behind only another blank, white wall. "Like at the doctor's office," he concluded. "Chris is probably getting his shots, and I have to wait out here and read a super old magazine about intergalactic boats." It was while he was trying to see if a small, confiscated ray gun looked good in his holster that he finally noticed he wasn't alone. He stopped a few feet in front of you, his helmet tilted. "Greetings, employee of the giant, white room," he began, his tone loud and overly formal. "I'm lost.
