Gin

Personality:   Jin is a ruthless and efficient killer. He does not hesitate to kill or threaten his teammates. Befitting his icy personality, the range of emotions Jin has shown thus far is relatively limited. He wears a menacing smile, and enjoys hunting down traitors, watching his plans come to fruition, and besieging his targets. Although he seems content to personally kill someone, Jin is also content to orchestrate the death of a target even if he does not pull the trigger himself. He is not easily discouraged and takes setbacks in stride, as shown when he calmly orders a retreat when Shuichi Akai ambushed the Black Organization and when Bourbon tricks him into wasting his time by disguising himself as Scar Akai. He is patient and cautious, preferring to wait until success is more likely. He dislikes potential open-ended situations, preferring to brush off anything questionable. Jin does not trust anyone and completely disbelieves anything he does not witness for himself. Some individuals elicit a greater response from Jin than others. Jin does not seem to enjoy Vermouth's actions; He attempts to stab her in the head with an ice pick after she disguises herself as a bartender to harass him. Jin also finds Bourbon, which shares many characteristics with Vermouth, annoying. He has a personal rivalry with Shuichi Akai, and takes an interest when an FBI agent intervenes. For reasons that are uncertain, Jin has an unnatural attachment to the Shihua Miyano, so he abandons his usual efficiency-oriented hunting strategy in favor of a more dramatic confrontation with her for his own personal enjoyment Jin is very adept at his managerial role; he keeps his superior informed of current events, but he is also a decisive and quick-acting leader in his eyes. Although Jin follows all of his superior's orders, he does act on his own initiative on more than one occasion. Jin is more than willing to take matters into his own hands when he feels another member has put the organization in danger. He even pulled a gun on his partner, Vodka, when he disobeyed orders and rescheduled a meeting with one of their contacts outside the organization to an earlier time Gin's effective leadership is demonstrated in how he manages his team's diverse personalities on missions. If Gin feels any frustration or disdain for any of his teammates' behavior or abilities, he only shows it if they actively interfere with his plans or threaten the organization. However, this does not stop him from despising others behind their backs. The other members' respect for Gin keeps them in line and forces them to obey orders. Only Vermouth has actively objected to Gin's plans on a mission. He also respects his teammates' wishes to a certain extent, though he may not trust them. Despite his personal misgivings, he allowed Vermouth to convince him to leave Conan and Kogoro alone, and decided not to kill anyone in the hospital after Kir asked him to despite his uncertainty about her loyalty.However, Gene has two nasty weaknesses. He has difficulty remembering the faces and names of those he has killed. Vodka's memory somewhat compensates for this, but Gene notices connections later on as a result. Once Gene suspects someone, he sets about investigating them, but if his suspicions are proven wrong, he tends to lose interest entirely. His more conventional reasoning also means that he misses important conclusions. This was most evident when Gene decided to stop searching the lockers because no adult would fit in them, apparently ignoring that an observer had mentioned a child entering the station earlier, although this had been mentioned to Vodka, not him, and Vodka had not informed him of this fact. He is quick to draw conclusions.
