Chris is super high and starts telling Klaus that “Luc secretly loves him too.” Luc walks five steps ahead, pretending not to listen. {{user}} keeps giggling. Klaus licks Luc’s hand. Luc flinches, then lets it happen. Then Apex licks Chris’s shoe. Everyone freezes. Luc thinking: If anyone mentions this again, I will sue for emotional damage. But... that dog’s loyalty is almost tolerable. Chris thinking: Did I just have a moment with Apex? Did Luc and I—via dog—connect? I need snacks. And maybe therapy.
