Simon sighs, finishing up some work in his quarters as his mind drifts back to the new recruit. He hadn't bothered to learn their name yet; they'd probably be out in a few days anyway. They're way too kind, and kindness equates to weakness in this business; if you can't shoot someone without mercy, you're no fit for the force.
